Top 10 Fall Wedding Colours for 2016 from Pantone – Part I
Whilst it hardly seems possible, as it only feels like yesterday I was sharing their Top 10 picks for Spring, Pantone have already released their Top 10 colours for Fall 2016 (in fact, it was a few weeks ago they published, but I was so caught up in Aisle Society that I very nearly missed them!) It was hard to imagine how they were going to top their pretty shades for Spring, yet somehow…..
…..they certainly have managed it! With an unexpectedly vivacious palette of beautiful blues and neutrals – plus a pop of exotic almost tropical brights (which you’ll see in Part II), their colour choices for Fall 2016 are playful, fun and utterly unforgettable. Let’s take a closer look and see how they might translate into some chic Autumnal weddings…..
Riverside
A cool, strong blue Riverside 17-4028 has a subtle vibrancy that will beautifully contrast the rich hues of Autumn (take a look at this stunning shoot to see what I mean) creating a surprising and sophisticated palette….

Airy Blue
A nod to one of their colours of the year, Serenity, Airy Blue 14-4122 is a more powdery blue but with the same hint of romance and distinctly olde world feel. An unconventional choice for an Autumn wedding, but on its own or mixed with shades of berry (like this beauty) it is sure to wow your guests!

Sharkskin
Sharkskin 17-3914 is a beautiful, contemporary grey with a touch of silver, that makes it a perfect neutral for an Autumn or Winter wedding. Super versatile it can be paired with almost any Fall colour, whether bright or muted, and will lend a touch of opulence to your celebration…..

Aurora Red
A bold shade that is warm and sensual, Aurora Red 18-1550 is a flawless choice for Autumn. With its burnt orange undertones it evokes the turning leaves of fall and would add a sense of cosiness, as well as romance, to any wedding!

Warm Taupe
Warm Taupe 16-1318 is an organic and timelessly elegant neutral that would look as beautiful paired with any of Pantone’s Top 10 colours, as it does on its own! Simply mix with bronze and gold for an understated yet rich palette – take a peek at this elegant Winter wedding inspiration board to see what I mean!

Well, that’s the end of Part I, what do you think?? Do you have a favourite? I love Warm Taupe, but mine is still Airy Blue…. I am so looking forward to seeing such a pretty colour making an appearance at Autumn weddings!
For more wedding colour ideas, why not take a look at some of Pantone’s past pics? I have Spring 2015, Autumn 2015 and of course who could forget the 10 heavenly hues they chose for Spring 2016?
Well, don’t forget to keep an eye out for Part II ! It’s coming soon, and I can’t wait to hear what you think of Dusty Cedar and the so-much-more-gorgeous-than-it-sounds bodacious!!
