An Emerald & Gold Winter Wedding with Vintage Inspired Glamour
C & E COLLECTIVE PHOTOGRAPHYAfter an intimate ceremony at their city hall, Kristi & Michael wanted to share their vows and celebrate their marriage with family and friends, so planned an elegant New Years Eve affair at Sprucewood Shores Winery. Kristi channelled her inner screen siren with old Hollywood inspired curls and glamorous red lips. Whilst for Michael and his groomsmen there could be only one choice for attire, the classic black tux – and didn’t they look dapper. When it came to the day everything came together perfectly, from the color palette, to the greenery filled florals, and the snow dusted scenery!
“Our wedding colours were; gold, forest green, black and cream. I have a pretty minimalist style and I like things to be classic looking. We chose to have our wedding at the beautiful Sprucewood Shores Winery. The idea came from one of my bridesmaids after she went there for a wedding and said how I would love it… which I totally did.” And when you see their wedding you will see why, it was the perfect
“My dress was bought at Bridal Couture in Windsor and the designer was Allure Bridal. I had searched at Davids bridal for a dress and just felt like there wasn’t one dress that described my style. I feel in love with this dress when I went to bridal couture and I was set on it from there out! I wore my moms wedding earrings to complement the dress and a hair piece she bought me off amazon.”
“My florist The Bourbon Rose was absolutely fantastic! I told her I wanted a more green than white bouquet. Lots of winter greens and eucalyptus. The bouquet smelled amazing and I was beyond happy with what she came up with!”
“My mom and I decorated the wedding ourselves but with a lot of help from friends and family. My sister made all the signs for the desserts and drinks and my dad build the arbour we used for the ceremony.”
Pearls of wedding wisdom from the bride….
“Try to plan as much as you can in advance. If you are planning on your own, like we did, then make sure to ask friends and family for help. They love to be included on your special day… And remember no one but you will see all the little details. Don’t stress to much about making everything perfect.”
“Michael and I decided to go with a smaller cake since our wedding was around 75 people. We looked online and found the perfect cake idea for us. Super minimal but still gorgeous! I have ordered from Sweet Revenge Bake Shop multiple times before and I knew they would be the ones who could help me out!”
Tell us a little about your photographer…..
“I found Chantelle online and fell in love with her work and her as a person right from the start. She was super sweet and generous to us! I loved working with her back in March for our civil ceremony and then again for the wedding on NYE. She had such a great eye and I am soo happy with the turn out of all of our photos.”
See what I mean? Kristi & Michael’s wedding was perfection! Many many congratulations to them both, as well as a big thankyou, to them and their fabulous photographer Chantelle of C + E Collective – who captured the whole celebration so beautifully.
