Inspiration Shoots
Rustic Vintage Wedding Inspiration from Keestone Events
After a weekend packed with the prettiest wedding dresses I ever did see, from this Fall’s NY Bridal Fashion Market……did you see them all?? Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Jenny Packham, Theia, Marchesa? (based on repins this was hands down your favourite, but mine would have to be this one!) Anyway, after all that, do I have just the thing to kick off the new week! An inspiration shoot, laced with rustic vintage charm, and just a hint of glam, that is positively brimming with bright florals perfect for brightening up any Monday morning!
From planner and stylist Sarah at Keestone Events “It all started when I attended the open house at Hickory Street Annex. The minute I walked in, I knew that I just had to work with the venue somehow, it inspired me so much! Essentially, it has absolutely lovely features – from the polished concrete floors, brass chandelier, stained wood backdrop to the exposed brick and pipe.
Circle Park Bridal loaned out a beautiful Enzoani gown from his 2013 Blue collection. It followed the vintage concept perfectly with its delicate lace overlay, subtle open back that ended up with a gorgeous, rounded train. The vintage theme was repeated in the stationary with old postage that tied in to the color scheme and font.
Yellow, gold, green, gray, brown and pink were selected because not only are they cheerful colours that complements each other, but they also worked really well against the natural colours of the venue. Great flowers can make a tablescape, but this time, it was about having more subtle centerpieces with Manzanita branches and minimal but crucial placements of yellow flowers. Other elements on the table came together to enhance the flowers such as the gorgeous gold goblets, gold rimmed wine glasses and gold rimmed plates. This served to elevate the table setting but at the same time, was casual enough to go with the yellow florals. We like to think chic without being stuffy!”
I think that could be the perfect description for this inspiration shoot “chic without being stuffy” thankyou so much Sarah at Keestone Events and the whole team for allowing me to share it on Chic Vintage Brides! I absolutely adore the LOVE sign and that dress is just rustic perfection.
