Inspiration Shoots
Summery Boho Vintage Wedding Inspiration from Southern Italy
Photography - Irene FucciAll too often when we think of Italy we think of one of its magnificent cities, or the rolling hills of Tuscany. But today’s shoot introduces us to another beautiful region in Italy, Apulia. And it makes for quite the stunning backdrop to this boho-vintage vision of a relaxed yet romantic wedding…..
Before we jump right in to all the inspiration, a few words from wedding planner and stylist extraordinaire Anne Laure….. “A few years ago, I visited Apulia, the “heel” of Italy, and instantly fell in love. This region is very unique for its olive groves and cacti growing everywhere, its authentic and wild atmosphere and the typical, ancient farmhouses reconverted in luxury hotels called masseria.
The chosen venue, Masseria Potenti, features traditional white painted walls and pastel colors. To fit this frame, I imagined a soft boho atmosphere with elegant touches that includes traditional elements like the « pumo », the symbol of Apulia in the shape of a little pine cone, and delicate details like silk ribbons and a watercolor wedding invitation in pastel hues.
My main focus was on authenticity. My couple of models for the day are high school sweethearts and after all those years, their love is still very palpable in the images. Roby’s sweetness and the softness of the whole shoot was beautifully captured by the talented Irene Fucci.”
And the lovely Irene added these words….. “This project has a special place in my heart. I have a thing for light, bright places, for cacti and succulents, for boho atmospheres and soft colors so when Anne Laure first talked to me about her idea I knew I had to jump in.
I loved everything about that day: from the color palette of neutrals mixed with a soft, blush pink to the intimate atmosphere. Not to mention the beautiful details like the gold handmade rings or that gorgeous cake with a tiny cactus on top. But my very fave part of the day was to work with a real couple. There’s something magical and unique about shooting a real love that always reminds me the reason why I love my job so much.”
So stunning, don’t you think? A beautiful blend of boho and vintage, and the setting just takes my breath away! As always, a huge thankyou to the creative team, listed below, who came together to create this inspiring editorial. And especially to photogrpaher Irene Fucci who captured it all so perfectly. If you love Irene’s images and would like to see more of her work do pop and take a peek at Beatrice & Gabriele’s on Viverone Lake and
this ethereal bridal shoot in an XVII villa on the edge of Lake Como. And be sure to head on over to her website at www.irenefucci.it, and find & follow her on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest!
If you’re considering an Italian wedding of your own and are looking for more inspiration from this beautiful country then you will love this timelessly romantic inspiration shoot at an Italian castle, or editorial captured at an 18th Century Italian villa, and Valerie & Jesse’s Tuscan elopement is not to be missed!
