Boho Vintage Weddings
A Boho-Vintage Vineyard Wedding
ELIZABETH WELLS PHOTOGRAPHYToday’s bride and groom were inspired by their Vineyard setting, creating a beautifully boho-vintage wedding with a relaxed, carefree vibe that was anything but short on style. The result was flawless, showcasing a serene elegance with the refined decor and vivid florals striking against the dramatic Colorado backdrop…..
With a reception that included a stately lounge complete with cigars, whiskey flights, and delicious fare from a local food truck, bride and groom Emily and Chris truly celebrated the start of their marriage in style. Amidst the Canyon Wind Cellars vineyards, with Edison string lights hung above mismatched vintage tables and chairs, the live blue grass music kept friends and family dancing long into the night.
Before we head to the majestic Colorado Bookcliff Mountain and see their beautful day, a few words from photographer Elizabeth Wells “Chris and Emily invited us up to Western Colorado for their gorgeous and intimate wedding this summer. Their wedding was thoughtfully crafted and was beautiful in every way. Stonewood Vintage nailed the design and made this day so special for all of their closest family and friends.”
Before their wedding ceremony amongst the vines, the couple had the sweetest first look…. I do so love it when a groom gets weepy!
Their ceremony space couldn’t be more lovely, or more DIY friendly – vintage kilim rugs form the aisle leading to a log teepee adorned with greenery. It is perfection, especially with that backdrop!
Seriously swooning over Emily’s look, and especially her bridal bouquet with those bright pops of color. A mix of Peonies, David Austin Roses, succulents, lavender, blue thistle and eucalyptus; it is such an interesting array of blooms.
It is their reception space however that really stole my heart! A real collection of vintage and boho decor, with a red velvet sofa that would look fabulous in the lounge of my little cottage!! And how wonderful do those mismatched vintage tables and chairs look topped with macramé?
‘Stin iyá mas!’ is a Greek toast used when drinking, that means “cheers and good health!” – the perfect sign for a wedding bar, don’t you think?
It is just perfection!! A huge congratulations to the happy couple Chris and Emily, and a big thankyou to them and Elizabeth Wells Photography for letting me share their celebration with you. If it’s a dramatic backdrop you’re looking for, then how about looking a little further afield for your venue? What bride wouldn’t love to get married in a french chateau in the Dordogne? Or an historic venue nestled in the hills of Tuscany? Or you could chanel your inner Mr & Mrs Clooney with a breathtaking Venice elopement!…. They’re enough to make me want to get married again.
