A Beguiling Winter Wedding Inspiration Shoot with Deco Decadence

Set in the stunning Società Filarmonico Drammatica, a palatial old building in Macerata, Italy (if, like me, you have never heard of the city, you absolutely MUST Google it!); oozing elegance and overflowing with ideas in 2015’s hottest colour ‘Marsala‘, this is a truly inspiring shoot that takes you straight back in time. I have a feeling you are going to love everything about it! From the sumptuous florals by ISA Events, to the scrumptious looking wedding Cake and macarons by Pasticceria Lombardi, one of the most ancient and artistic pastry and bakery shops in the region; and the luxurious tablescape by Noeliya, not to mention the stylish bride – just wait until you see her updo!

Before we glimpse all of the gorgeousness though, a little something from one of the talented team behind the shoot Federica from Honey & Cinnamon, who specializes in destination weddings in the stunning Marche Region of Italy. “An old club in the heart of a magical Italian town was the perfect location for this vintage wedding styled shoot. The sensation you have entering this beautiful place, is that of being back in a decadent era of the past, when ladies and gentlemen would have gathered here for concerts, dances and ballets. So where could have been better? We decided to set up the main table, the sweet table and the bride in more than one of the marvellous rooms that form this magnificent structure. The model was purposely photographed in the huge theatre and on the grand staircase of the foyer, where you can imagine crowds of people meeting, the ladies with their 30’s dresses adorned with pearls; and the gentlemen in their top hat and tails, with their pocket watches and monacles. In this glorious atmosphere all the settings were purposely designed recalling pearls (the engagement ring, the earrings, the centerpieces) and gold, from flatware to the plates, to the cake and the sweets, to celebrate this magnificent nostalgic time.”

Isn’t it stunning?? Just so opulent with all those deep, dark colours and touches of gold. We’re just about to welcome Autumn here in New Zealand, and this shoot has reminded me just why it is my favourite season. Thanks to Federica from Honey and Cinnamon for co-ordinating and styling this stunning shoot and to the whole creative team for bringing the vision to life.
