Bridal Accessories with Parisian Chic from Jannie Baltzer
Good morning lovelies! I have been longing to share this post with you for some time. For whilst every single one of the past bridal accessory collections from Jannie Baltzer have been beautiful, her latest offering quite simply took my breath away – and I have no doubt it will yours too!
I first discovered the divine bridal headpieces of Danish designer Jannie Baltzer some 2 and a bit years ago now and she very quickly became a firm favourite of mine and yours. Oh and I’m not just saying that, you can see more of her work and past collections on Chic Vintage Brides here, here and here – and you know I don’t allow just anyone to grace these pages! With her unique design style, Jannie’s pieces and indeed her whole collections, have a way of of perfectly combining the elegance and romance of eras past, with the sophistication and glamour we modern brides demand. Always brimming with exquisitely embellished hair vines and headbands, ethereal veils and captivating combs; her collections, beautifully captured by Sandra Åberg Photography are invariably a delight to behold. But I do believe her 2015 collection could be her greatest yet…. I hope you have your pinning finger ready!
I will hand you over to the lovely lady herself for a little something about the inspiration behind the collection “My 2015 collection is inspired by old world charm, 1920’s Paris and takes place in a beautiful chic trashed Parisian apartment – where you can feel the mood from days gone by. This beautiful bride is getting married, and she is dancing barefoot and happy on the old floor in delicate dresses trying on various couture headpieces. To emphasize this mood I have used rose gold, honey-gold, antique gold, silver, cream and ivory Preciosa crystals. In this collection I have also used gorgeous opulent oversized Preciosa crystals in silver to add a touch of glamour to the collection.”
So beautiful it is easy to see why Jannie’s work is often featured in top fashion magazines like VOGUE, Elle and Cosmopolitan!
All of Jannie‘s designs are created at her studio in Copenhagen with an incredible eye to detail and using only the most luxurious materials such as: French lace, Edwardian Lace, silk and soft chiffon. All the bead work you see is hand crafted of Preciosa crystals and pearls and she only uses hand made flowers. There really is such an heirloom quality to her pieces.
Jannie Baltzer headpieces are available to buy online at her website (and can be shipped worldwide), as well as stocked at two beautiful retailers in England, Carina B Couture & Luella’s Boudoir and at the fabulous BHLDN in America. A full list of stockists can be found here.
I adore this collection, don’t you? Normally I would say I am a headpiece bride, but the veils in this collection just wow me! If I had to choose one it would be the ethereal Magda….*swoon* Oh and isn’t the styling of this shoot impeccable? So utterly romantic and full of timeless elegance. Thank-you Jannie for allowing me to share it! You can see more of the collection on her website at www.janniebaltzer.com and you can also keep up to date on all her latest news by following her on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram – which by the way Chic Vintage Brides is now on too did you know at @chicvintagebrides?
