Bodies of Water – The Beautiful 2015 Bridal Collection from Myra Callan for Twigs & Honey
Good morning lovelies! I couldn’t be any more excited (or proud) to be sharing with you today an EXCLUSIVE first glimpse of Myra Callan’s new 2015 Bridal Collection for Twigs & Honey “Bodies of Water.” A collection that features stunning silhouettes, delicate lace, intricate beading and elaborate embroideries; and that encapsulates everything we love and look for as modern brides – gorgeous design details, an element of whimsy and timeless elegance……
I have long been an admirer of Myra’s work, since well before Twigs & Honey became a much loved Chic Vintage Brides sponsor (you can see more of Myra’s past collections on CVB here, here and the very first post here – and you know I don’t allow just anyone to grace these pages!) In fact the fabulous Twigs & Honey was one of my first blogging, and Etsy, discoveries. Her stunning hair accessories with their intricate details and hand sewn embellishments captured my heart the moment I stumbled upon them. And when Myra launched her debut Bridal collection a few years later in 2012, she had me positively swooning. With the same fine craftsmanship and attention to detail that is apparent in every single one of her hair accessories, Myra’s bridal collections are oh so romantic and perfect for the bride looking for a wedding dress that is beautifully unique and combines the elegance of eras past, with unmistakably modern design details.
Myra recognises that today’s modern vintage-loving bride is equal parts elegant and whimsical, and for her 2015 Bridal collection has created 12 captivating dresses with a refined bohemian aesthetic to cater to their distinctive style needs. I will hand you over to the lovely lady herself for a little something about the inspiration behind ‘Bodies Of Water’…..
“My 2015 bridal gown collection was inspired by water, with gowns that are fluid and light, have a relaxed feel but flattering fit, featuring delicate French lace and billowy layers of tulle. The pieces gently move with the body, with subtle sparkle, soft tiers and perfect gathers.”
In a shoot that features vintage velvet covered chairs and lovely antiqued mirrors from Etable Collecte, lush florals by Forage Florals, heavenly hair and makeup by Christina Burns and luxuriously detailed shoes by Freya Rose, all captured beautifully by Elizabeth Messina; I am sure Twigs & Honey’s latest wedding dresses are going to take your breath away!
With prices starting at just $1600 Twigs & Honey wedding dresses are available to buy online at www.twigsandhoney.com and can be shipped worldwide.
I love this collection so much! A HUGE thank-you to Myra for allowing me to share this exclusive first look with you. And just wait until you see her new bridal accessories collection! (keep an eye out for them on these pages) In the mean time you can see more of the Bodies of Water Collection on Myra’s website at www.twigsandhoney.com – along with the heavenly hair accessories collection!
