10 of the Prettiest Spring Wedding Color Palettes
As Spring has now well and truly sprung, I thought it was time we take a look at some perfect palettes for a wedding during this romantic season. There are so many reasons to love Spring weddings, the seasonal blooms, soft sun and longer days to name but a few. But colour is surely one of the best? For after a long grey Winter, the fresh hues of Spring guarantee a beautiful wedding – whatever your style, theme or budget. So, here’s 10 of the most delightful colour combinations for a celebration in the prettiest of seasons.…..
Spring Garden
Nothing signals Spring quite like our own gardens and that is just what inspired this first color palette. Fresh, soft, and filled with feminine shades it would make for a whimsical and romantic wedding, perfect for a floral filled affair. And although most of these palettes are pretty versatile, suiting almost any venue or theme, I think this botanic beauty is best suited to a garden wedding (whether it be a backyard, vineyard or historic estate) where the lush greenery will provide the perfect backdrop, letting these delicate hues shine!

Powder Blue & Peach
This palette just couldn’t be any prettier or more perfect for a Spring (or Summer!) wedding. The crisp powder blue is delicate and surprisingly feminine (with stock and blue thistle coming in the perfect shades), whilst the soft shades of peach adds contrast and warmth. Complete the look with plenty of greenery like Eucalyptus, lambs ear, and trailing jasmine to complete this floral flourish…..

Lilac, Blush & Vintage Yellow
But of course Spring isn’t just pretty pastels! Whilst this palette may be a little more vibrant than is typical for the season, it is also oh-so-romantic and, thanks to the muted tones and the golden antique yellow, has a sense of age that is perfect for a modern-vintage wedding.

Dusky Blue & Yellow
This colour palette is the perfect mix of early Spring hues and romance. With a lingering Wintry dusk these soft shades of yellow, blue and grey somehow manage to be both stylishly masculine and beautifully feminine. It would prove as popular with the guys in your party, as it will the gals in terms of colours for their attire……

Ethereal Greenery
A stunning wedding palette inspired by the current greenery trend and so perfect for Spring! Soft shades of lush green, with splashes of warm yellow and nude couldn’t be more elegant or more romantic. And whilst it would most definitely suit a boho bride and garden setting, it would also look oh so chic for a sophisticated bride in a more formal venue. Just think sweeping staircases, opulent florals, candelabras, and chandeliers over stately tables….. very Downton Abbey!

Rustic Spring Blues
Taken from an editorial celebrating the end of Winter, this palette is an unusual alternative to the more traditional Spring pastels! The blend of ethereal light shades contrast perfectly with the moodier, dark tones and signify the changing of the seasons. And I love the juxtaposition of the rustic wood with the lush bouquet, delicate lace and flowing tulle of the bride’s beautiful dress! I think a rustic barn setting would make a fabulous backdrop to this soft palette…

Spring Beach
Whilst greyed peach may not be the first colour you think of, I wanted to show that this shade, especially when mixed with dusky blue and neutrals, can be a sophisticated choice for a Spring bride. It would be sure to look lovely in any venue, but I can’t help imagining an ethereal beach wedding with hand dyed silk, driftwood and shells…..*swoon*

Spring Sunset
It’s so easy to think these burnished shades of yellow and orange only work for a Fall wedding. But how wrong could you be?! Plus an unexpected palette for your wedding makes a stylish statement, and is guaranteed to wow your guests. A luxurious and warm colour scheme it would be perfect for a floral filled affair; and is surprisingly versatile, suiting a multitude of venues as well as seasons – don’t you think it would look just as lovely in Summer?

Spring Skies
The bright blues and warm yellow of this color palette reminds me so much of the clearing Spring skies with their wisps of white cloud. Somehow managing to be both stylishly masculine and beautifully feminine, the pop of dazzling blue in this delicate colour combination gives a contemporary twist to the traditional Spring hues.……

Rose Quartz & Serenity
Last but not least, whilst this delicate duo may have been replaced by greenery as Pantone’s color of the year, they are still a favourite of ours – especially for a Spring wedding. It is the perfect season in which to embrace your femininity with soft pastel shades, and this particular palette couldn’t be any prettier. Don’t be afraid to go all out, it looks surprisingly sweet used throughout your big day, just be sure to use the softest shades to avoid it looking like a gender reveal baby shower!
