‘Winter Love Story’ – Snowy Holiday Wedding Inspiration
REBECCA HOLLIS PHOTOGRAPHY
Of course, as a Winter bride myself I may be completely biased, but I am firmly of the belief that there is no season better for bringing loved ones together, getting cozy, sipping spiced cider and celebrating love. If you adore this season too, today’s shoot, captured by Rebecca Hollis Photography , shows just how to perfectly turn the joy of the holidays into your dream wedding – without a bauble or Christmas tree in sight!
We’re talking a snowy backdrop to a gorgeous outdoor ceremony arch, a horse drawn carriage back to a cozy yet elegant barn reception and an abundance of florals; all in the most beautiful Winter colour palette. In fact if you saw these 11 boards of seasonal hues last week, you might spy a few familiar details! Either way though, I am sure you are going to love every part of this rustic inspiration for a holiday wedding.
Darci Greenwood from Beargrass Gardens, who was behind the gorgeous florals and design of this shoot, is here to share a few words.… “It is not hard to find inspiration when designing a wedding in Montana. Frosted covered mountains and wide open, snow covered ranchland makes for a beautiful backdrop for an intimate affair. The Ranch At Rock Creek graciously hosted us to tell this Winter Love Story.
When designing this shoot, my first thought was to use winter colors and tones that complement the landscape, yet use touches of luxurious warmth to enhance the western allure. A color story of gray-blue, neutrals and a deep rustic red came together perfectly. The red ties together the season and adds a hint of elegance.”
“Styling the couple, I knew we wanted a very timeless look. We found the most perfect winter gown from designer Rosa Clara at Velvet Bride. Luxurious and thick, the material was perfectly flowing yet warm for a winter bride. We completed her look with her hair down with soft curls to fit the ranch setting.”
“The tabletop was draped with a lovely cream patterned La Tavola Linen and then a linen runner in an earthy brown. Lush florals in hammered silver containers, silver antler candlesticks with a variety of natural colored tapers and silver bud vases filled the middle, and ran down the entire table. Each place setting had beautiful plate ware from The TOP accented with crystal goblets and vintage champagne coupes. We added the vintage teal wineglasses for a warm blue tone to the table. Natural gray blue geode slices were used as place cards with Anna from Cast Calligraphy’s gorgeous script.”
Is there anything more romantic than a snowy backdrop? I am completely in love! Much thanks must go to the whole creative team behind this wonderful collaboration, and especially to Rebecca Hollis Photography for photographing each and ever element so flawlessly.
