Fabulous Vintage Wedding and Bridesmaid Dresses from Mill Crest Vintage
Mill Crest Vintage may have started life in a small boutique (in a seaside town just outside Boston in fact, almost 30s years ago now) but today their Lambertville store is literally brimming with the most beautiful vintage wedding and bridesmaids dresses you will ever see. Owners Erica and Paula pay exquisite attention to everything from the quality, cut and fabrication of an item, to its overall design ensuring that they bring only the finest in vintage fashion to their brides. “Our collection of authentic, high quality vintage bridal attire honors styles from every decade over the past 100 years.” And when they say “100 years” they’re not exaggerating from Edwardian to almost present day there are incredible dresses from every era – and fashion trend! In fact, to showcase their collection and inspire any brides-to-be planning a vintage wedding and considering authentic vintage attire we have pulled together dresses for the entire bridal party – bride, maid of honour and bridesmaids; for each and ever era from the 1920s to the 1960s!
1920s Wedding
The Art Deco era was flirty, fun and frivolous and these dresses definitely reflect that…..
This fabulous flapper inspired chemise wedding dress is done in a slipper silk satin with lovely floral lace panels and bead trimming.
This tea stained lace vintage dress is so sweet! With its scalloped hem, cap sleeves, floral lace appliques and ruffle details would make it the prettiest of bridesmaid dresses.
This sheer silk-chiffon drop waist dress has the prettiest lace trimmed cap sleeves, scooped neckline and scalloped hemline. And if that isn’t enough to make it perfect for any bridesmaid, just look at its delicate colour.
A dropped waist champagne silk dress with beautiful floral silk lace and bead embellishments, and a pretty scalloped hemline.
Aren’t they fabulous? Fear not if you’re not local to Mill Crest Vintage, they have a brilliant online store that currently ships to Canada, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, and Japan, as well as the US. 1930s Wedding
Before the onset of WWII the era was one of the most glamorous and gorgeous – I loved the bias cuts and use of liquid silk satin…..
A unique vintage wedding gown created in a champagne toned liquid silk satin with cascading cap sleeves adorned with drop pearl trimmed silk satin rosettes. And I think this peach toned liquid silk satin dress would make the perfect bridesmaid dress for it…..
I think they used to describe that hemline as ‘handkerchief’ and I bet it feels beautiful to walk in.
Or how about this elegant bias cut vintage dress? It is tea length and glorious!
And I think this luxurious floor length vintage gown would make the perfect dress for a Maid of Honour!
1940s Wedding
Long sleeves and pretty necklines made the bridal fashion of the 1940s beautiful – and still so relevant today!
I love this absolutely stunning vintage wedding ensemble of champagne liquid silk satin gown with an accompanying asymmetrical sheer lace wedding coat of the rich colour! Just look at the coats train and imagine walking down the aisle with it railing behind you…..
This sheer silk chiffon dress in soft apricot is so pretty with that silver metallic swirl pattern.
Or if you would prefer ivory to champagne how about this lace embroidered cotton voile dress?
I love those long sleeves!
Ooh and this strapless evening gown would make a lovely bridesmaid dress.
1950s Wedding
With the fabulous fifties dress hemlines started to rise from floor length to tea length…..
I just know you’ll love this dress’s pretty bodice, which has been adorned with a lovely lace appliqué and clusters of pearl and sequins.
And how about this spectacular tea length dress in the most fabulous sky blue tulle for your bridesmaid? Don’t you just love how the capped sleeves can be worn on or off the shoulders?
Or how about this vintage party dress, isn’t the blush toned lace beautiful?
If you’d prefer a longer length gown though, Mill Crest Vintage have plenty of them too. Take a look at this gorgeous vintage wedding dress with its pretty pearl trimmed, illusion neckline and lace over tulle tiered skirt….. swoon!
1960s Wedding
Hemlines rose again in the swinging 60s with even Wedding Dresses becoming mini, but remain chic with the addition of a box jacket….
This vintage wedding dress and cropped jacket ensemble is the epitome of chic! (and reminds me a lot of this chic vintage bride‘s look)
Although designed in the 50’s I think this sweet vintage party dress would be perfect for a 1960s inspired wedding…..very Breakfast at Tiffany’s!
Or go for something a little more Jackie O chic….
I love this sweet Audrey Hepburn style vintage lace wedding gown.
How fantastic is this floral vintage cocktail dress? With a similar neckline and bow they would make the perfect bride & bridesmaid dress.
This tulip style dress would be just as fab for a 1960s inspired bridesmaid…..oh, or Mother-of-the-Bride dress!
If you’re looking for something a little less bold though this mint lace dress is rather sweet….
