The Muses Collection from Erica Elizabeth Designs
I am sure you must remember, if you saw it, the exquisitely floral-infused 2015 collection from Erica Elizabeth Designs – gloriously opulent, it was definitely a case of once seen never forgotten (if you missed it, or simply want a reminder, you can take a peek at the perfection here). Well, today I am pleased to be bringing you her newest offering for 2016, and let’s just say that if you loved the beautiful crowns and unique flourishes of her last collection, ‘The Muses’ will have you swooning!
A collection of delicate headbands, silk flower halos, majestic ornate crowns and ethereal veils, ‘The Muses’ is utterly captivating. And as with all of her collections (this will be the 5th I have loved and shared here on CVB), it blends details inspired by the past with modern styling, this time in the form of pieces in a signature shade of the most gorgeous rose gold.
This opulent and most contemporary of hues perfectly suits Erica’s elegantly pretty pieces, which are infused with nature’s relentless beauty. All created in Erica’s LA studio using artisanal craftsmanship and only the finest materials to couture-quality standards; her timeless designs are made to be treasured, not only on your wedding day but for years to come – truly, heirlooms of the future!
As always the shoot that captures her work is almost as beautiful as the pieces themselves! A little darker than usual, and with an ethereal almost pre-Raphaelite feel, it is full of romance, and the photography of Meghan K. Sadler is simply divine.
I will let Erica talk you through the inspiration behind her latest collection….. “They say travel broadens the spirit and beckons the heart, and a recent trip to Capitol Reef and Canyonlands National Park proved that adage to be more than true. While hiking with my love through the deep canyons of this ancient land forged by nature’s most powerful elements, the bewitching colors and formations sent my imagination soaring.
Nature writes its own story: In the glory of this dramatic terrain, rich rose golds shone the brightest as the sun cast its rays over the jutting sandstone cliffs of the Colorado plateau. The breathtaking beauty and stunning palette found me rushing back to my studio, eager to incorporate the shapes and hues of nature’s brush into my newest collection.”
“In days of yore, artists courted the Muses, classical spirits who inspired creativity and fueled expression. The Muses believed that gold, the most treasured of jewels, was produced by the collision of stars, scattering shards of brilliant light before kissing the land below.
The glint and shimmer of gold, brushed with a rosy hue, weaves a rich vein of grace and beauty throughout my newest headpiece creations. It’s a perfect pairing: Impervious to the passage of time, gold is synonymous with the ring symbolism of eternal vows and lasting union.”
See what I mean? I simply cannot get enough this collection – especially the gorgeous Clementine… Oh and you should see Cordelia! That’s right, this isn’t the full collection, but rather just a few of my favourite pieces, so be sure to pop across to see the rest over on Erica’s website at www.ericaelizabeth.com.
