Winter Wonderland – Inspiration for a Winter Wedding
As a Winter bride myself I am maybe a little biased, but not enough brides take advantage of the most romantic of seasons for my liking! There is nothing more memorable, beautiful or fun than a snow filled winter wedding….

There’s something about the light on a cold, snowy day….. I love it. Shades of winter white, dusky grey and latte with a dash of chocolate and a dusting of metallics are romantic and rich, but could also be brightened with a splash of red or yellow.

I really love the trend of mixing luxe with snug – a wedding dress looks so cute with a big chunky knit or a casual coat. In fact your top layer is the more economical alternative to a reception outfit, creating two unique looks with one dress!
Just imagine this beautiful Hayley Paige dress Tuula with its draped sweetheart neckline, floral embellished satin sash and crystal encrusted skirt….
Oh just imagine it paired with this Emilio Pucci Feather Jacket…. it would be certain to floor your groom and keep you cosy! 🙂
This fabulous ivory Alencon lace gown, from Jim Hjelm, its v-neckline and short cap sleeves are super sweet as well as super flattering….
I just had to share this ivory charmeuse beauty, also from Tara Keely, with its beaded and embroidered net overlay and beaded belt – how exquisite is the detail at the bottom?….

Of course the current trend for elegant long sleeves is just perfect for a winter wedding. I love this opulent design from Jesus Peiro’s 2013 Soiree collection….
Oh and this Monique Lhuillier 2013 wedding dress made me think of winter the first time I saw it, the design quite simply says snow queen, with its elaborate detailing like frost climbing a window….
Winter Weddings are just wonderful! Have any of you been tempted??
