A Whiter Shade of Pale – Lihi Hod’s 2018 Bridal Collection
6 years into blogging, and seeing the latest wedding dress designs sashay down the catwalk is still just as exciting as it was the very first year! Every October, when NYBFW rolls around and bridal designers from all over the world descend on New York to unveil their latest collections, I wait with baited breath. And every year my heart skips a beat at my first glimpse! But never more so than at the exquisite offerings for 2018, and today I am sharing one of the very best; ‘A Whiter Shade of Pale’ from Lihi Hod…..
After starting her label in 2010 and winning “Best Wedding Dress Designer in Israel” not once but twice (in 2014 and 2016), Lihi Hod has fast established a name in the bridal industry for chic and unique wedding dresses, that combine timeless elegance inspired by the past with the nonchalant attitude of the present. And her 2018 collection is no different.
Inspired by simplicity, the ultimate form of sophistication and elegance, Lihi Hod designed her new collection “A Whiter Shade of Pale”. An insulated capsule with no recollection of time and place; each gown exudes femininity in its purest form. Featuring dramatic necklines, stunning silhouettes and striking design details and delicate laces, she has created timeless pieces that go beyond the boundaries of time and place yet reflect Hod’s meticulous craftsmanship.
Aren’t they all divine?? It’s almost impossible to pick a favourite….. but the cap sleeves and neck detail of Celia might just be the one for me… although I also love the lace and silhouette of Luna!
