What a week! 🙂 I definitely think a celebratory glass of bubbly (or two) is in order – Mr E has certainly earned one for all his hard work on CVB’s swanky makeover! I am still a little in shock that Chic Vintage Brides turned 1 this week – a year, a whole 12 months, 365 (or is it 366 with Leap Year?) days… and what a year it has been! To celebrate I thought a little retrospective of some of my (and the CVB followers) favourite posts, so this weeks Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons is all about us 🙂 …..

1. One of the earliest, and still most popular posts was this one dedicated to the Stylish Finger & Marcel Waves of the 1920s…..

2. I love creating Inspiration Boards and the classically elegant Parisien Romance Inspiration Board of dove grey & peach is still popular (thanks I think to the beautiful lace wedding dresses I paired it with!)…..

3. I love how happy couples today share their passions, memories and personalities through their weddings. Every little detail speaks to their loved ones, it’s what makes weddings unique. And finding fun and wow alternatives to the traditional Wedding Cake is just one way….

4. It’s hard to believe THE royal wedding of the century was already 18 months ago… I think it’s fair to say though that we are still seeing its influence in the wedding industry – especially bridal fashion! The lace, long sleeves trend certainly doesn’t seem to be going anywhere (yay!) and they will forever be the elegant alternative to the strapless wedding dress….

5. How could I have a pick of CVB’s first year’s posts without Whimsical and Wonderful Flower Crowns?? Truly modern vintage, they are a must have for any bohemian bride….
