Time to Drink Champagne – Romantic & Glamorous New Years Wedding Inspiration
Before we count down to the New Year, there’s just enough time for a little inspiration for anyone considering a NYE wedding. And this perfect mix of romance and glamour has to be my favourite New Year’s Eve wedding inspiration board yet (it’s become a bit of a tradition to share one, so in case you missed them, you can see the last 5 years here) This year I have mixed timeless black and gold (when it comes down to it, nothing says glamour quite like this duo of colours) with just a hint of the prettiest pale pinks to create a wedding fit for the occasion…. and there’s not a clock or a streamer in sight!

So whilst I had New Year in mind when I created it, it would look just as fabulous at any other time of year! I love the hint of romance the pale pink adds, and how it contrasts with black, whilst the gold lends that touch of glam. For a Winter, or New Year’s wedding layering rich fabrics like velvet will add warmth as well as a sense of opulence. Your men will appreciate some quality cigars to accompany that end of night whiskey (or brandy!) and of course when it comes to lighting for such a special occasion it has to be chandeliers!
Right, well I’m off to wave goodbye to 2016… and what a year it has been! I don’t know about you but from the very start I feel as though I have barely had a chance to catch my breath. Whilst, for so many reasons, this year has been something of a shocker, and one we may wish to forget!; here at Chic Vintage Brides it was a bit of a corker! And so before we welcome the start of another new year (one that I am hoping won’t fly by quite so quickly!), I want to take a moment to celebrate and say thankyou for your part in CVB’s most successful year yet!
2016 started with a swanky new look, and whilst I was sad to say goodbye to Yvonne (she’d been with me from the start), I am sure this year’s success is, at least in part, due to the cleaner, more contemporary, and user friendly Chic Vintage Brides. Then came the launch of Aisle Society, and its ridiculous growth and success in the course of just 8 months has been nothing short of mind blowing! Better still, I have no doubt there are bigger and better things to come for our groundbreaking website of the very best wedding inspiration.
Then in June I took part in my first editorial shoot! From concept through to submission, it was a real eye opener to the work involved in creating the beauty I publish (and you enjoy) on these pages. It was also undoubtedly one of my greatest personal achievements this year – and I only had such a very small part to play. I couldn’t have been more proud when it was published on one of my favourite blogs!
Last but not least, over the past few months I have been busy working on a completely new project, and one that has me SO excited. Because if Aisle Society has taught me anything, it is that we really are better together! And that this online community of ours is a wonderful place to be. Having taken so much from it over the course of the last 2 years, I feel its time to start giving something back! And that’s what my new project is all about: sharing all of the skills, and secrets to success, I have learned in my 5 years as a bloggers. I have been wanting to do something like it for such a long time. To help fellow solopreneurs and small businesses build a strong online presence, engage with new customers, grow their revenue, and just generally rock the online world…. it is going to be fab-u-lous, so watch this space!
Well, it’s time we went and opened that bottle of bubbles. All that is left for me to say is happy New Year lovely! And, whether you’re an avid follower, a regular reader, CVB partner, sponsor, photographer, wedding industry pro or passer by; I would like to say a big heartfelt thankyou for being a part of Chic Vintage Brides throughout 2016, and I look forward to seeing you next year!
Now, go celebrate!
