Monique Lhuillier’s Sublime Spring 2013 Bridal Collection
Whilst we may always be able to rely on Vera Wang to push the boundary for bridal design (the queen of bridal couture will forever be the first choice for daring brides), there is one designer known for her ethereally beautiful, dreamily embellished and flawlessly tailored gowns and that is Monqiue Luillier.
(For some reason that gown makes me think of New Year’s Eve…. )
(Monqiue Luillier is stocked exclusively in Australia by Helen Rodrigues)
2013 is no exception! Inspired by the pure fantasy of weddings, each and every design is fit for a princess. Whatever shape or style you are looking for there is a dress for every bride in this collection, with a variety of necklines, sleeve lengths and shapes. There is also a distinct nod to every key bridal trend for Spring 2013 – shimmering metallics, flattering illusion necklines, tantalising textures as well as…..
Lashings of her signature Alencon lace…..
I adore the silhouettes and trains of these gowns!
Or if you can’t decide which you prefer, how about a little of both…..
With a nod to THAT Sarah Burton dress for the Duchess of Cambridge, there are elegantly long sleeves…..
(almost a year after THE wedding, I don’t see this trend going anywhere!)
Seductively short skirts…..
And delicate colours – these gowns are the prettiest blush pink…..
Oh how I am loving the ultra pretty and oh so feminine bow belt, a recurring detail in her 2013 collection…..
(the waves of fabric, with the exquisite detail, on that gown are so dreamy!)

With 16 years in the industry it is easy to see why Monqiue Luillier‘s inimitable style is a firm celebrity favourite – and she is indeed rumoured to be the designer of choice for Jessica Biel for her upcoming nuptials to Justin Timberlake!
Which one is your favourite? Every time I look at this collection I choose a new favourite!
