Stylish Modern-Vintage Wedding Inspiration in Blush & Gold
Elizabeth Ngundue PhotographyI don’t know about where you are, but it has been a decidedly dark and damp day here in Hawkes Bay (the first proper sign that Autumn is surely on its way) Luckily I have just the thing to kiss those wet weather blues goodbye! Full of vintage furniture, gorgeous flowers, fabulous bridal fashion (including a wedding dress with long lace sleeves that is guaranteed to make your knees weak!) and a couple, head over heels in love; this pretty modern-vintage inspiration shoot from Elizabeth Ngundue Photography exudes charming style and romance!
Before I unveil every gorgeous detail, a little something from the lady with the vision Elizabeth Ngundue “The inspiration for this shoot came from an Audrey Hepburn quote: “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” This quote was so beautiful to me; it reminded me that beauty is from within, although society often says otherwise. I sketched and designed a custom wedding dress for Shelby and watched as my ideas came to life. I chose a vintage, tea length style for her dress, with beautiful lace billowing down the sides. I wanted long sleeves with lace throughout to bring a true classy, vintage feel to the shoot.
Zach wore a tan suit with a blush pink tie, to complete the color palette. I found Shelby the cutest blush heels, complimenting her tattoos very elegantly. Her bridal bouquet was just perfect, with multiple pink tones and gold tipped succulents. I set up the sweetheart table setting with mismatched lace doilies, floating candles, gold chairs, and a lovely blush and gold cake. I wanted this moment for them to be intimate. Serene. Beautiful. Their rose gold rings were the perfect touch to the outfits, bringing everything together. I was amazed to watch my vision come to life all at once; it was incredible.”
The fantastic team behind this shoot have created the most heavenly of scenes in the prettiest palette of blush and gold. It delights, charms and sweeps you off your feet, so I am going to let Elizabeth‘s fabulous photography do the talking from here……
Isn’t it gorgeous? And how fabulous is that top knot?? Thanks to Elizabeth for styling and capturing such a stunning vision and for allowing me to share it with you here. I want to let her have the last word, because as well as some chic wedding inspiration, she also wanted to share an important message with this shoot. “Shelby and Zach are a beautiful couple! I really wanted to portray the beauty of their souls in this shoot, and that’s what I focused on. The love between two souls is so much deeper than any physical love will ever bring. I wanted something real. The world we live in today is so bogged down by fake portrayals of the human race. Photoshop is used in nearly every photograph, and women are feeling more and more like that level of beauty is unattainable. For this reason, I chose to leave every photo from our inspiration shoot unedited. Beauty IS real. It IS attainable. And it happens to show most freely when two souls are in love; vowing to commit the rest of their lives to one another.” I couldn’t agree more!
