Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons
Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons #30
Three weeks away from Chic Vintage Brides and the world of weddings….. sat here now it feels like it has been much longer (I feel a little out of practice). It was so lovely to be back home (in an ever wet, olympics obsessed England), at two incredibly special weddings, and spending time with all of our much missed friends and family…. but it is fab coming back – to New Zealand and Chic Vintage Brides.
My first Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons, whilst I catch up on all things wedding and vintage, is dedicated to dresses that I adore…. now that statement could result in a Snippets, Whispers and Ribbons 100 long as there are after all few wedding dresses I don’t adore…. but these are my picks…. for this week at least 🙂
1. The lovely ‘Kristene’ from Claire Pettibone‘s continuing collection, as seen at this incredibly stylish and elegant Art Deco inspired Santa Monica wedding on Style Me Pretty….
(If you haven’t spotted on Claire’s website, there has been a rather exciting stockist development – Claire Pettibone will soon be stocked in Australia!!…. at last!)
2. When I came across this Vintage Mountain wedding on Ruffled, I must admit that the name of Tadashi Shoji was new to me (shameful I know) but since I have seen this dress on a number of different brides, each time looking equally exquisite – and its still for sale at Bloomingdales DISCOUNTED!
3. My love of Johanna Johnson (and especially her Luxor Collection…. oh I can not wait to see some real brides in those gowns!!) but this Johanna Johnson, as seen at this fabulous Claridges wedding on Love My Dress started it all for me….
4. There’s little not to love about this wedding Laguna Beach wedding by Elizabeth Messina, the location, the moody weather, the bridesmaids dresses and classic tuxes and then there’s Monique Lhuillier‘s Grace….
5. After my pre-holiday post on Gwendolynne I couldn’t resist featuring this beautiful design, as seen on Green Wedding Shoes, in my top 5…..
(You may recognise the venue and super talented photographer Jonathan Ong, from this wedding)
Any lucky brides out there wear any of these gowns? Or any suggestions of gowns that I maybe should have listed?
Happy weekend everyone!
