Groom & Groomsmen
5 Dapper Looks for Autumn Grooms
Happy Friday lovelies! Having swooned over the most fabulous fall wedding dresses, colours for bridesmaids, wedding cakes, bouquets and colour palettes (and with a sneaking suspicion I may have been neglecting them of late) today’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons is firmly focused on our boys. Just as us brides are no longer limited to the meringue, so the options for our guys are no longer narrowed down to the morning suit or tux (although they do look good in both!) 2. The berry and jewel tones that are so perfect for this time of year, also really lend themselves to making our grooms dapper! Rich emerald and burgundy are the perfect colours for our men – stylish, opulent and most definitely masculine…..

3. Make the most of that beautiful warm Autumn light and step away from the traditional black for your man. Deep navy, dazzling or midnight blue are the perfect alternatives for showing off those late summer tans…..

4. Autumn is the best season for introducing some rustic, casual charm to the groom & groomsmen attire too. Plaid shirts are a fabulous alternative to a formal shirt, and perfect for more casual trousers like cords or jeans. The whole look can easily be smartened up with a tweed waistcoat…..

5. And of course its not just suits that should reflect the changing season. Footwear can be heavier and more casual in shades of brown rather than black. Or forget shoes all together and go with boots! Pair with casual trousers, but add a dash of vintage romance with a velvet jacket….

What do you think? It might not be what you had in mind when he popped the question, but I think you can always tell from the photos when a groom is wearing something he feels happy and comfortable in!
Have a fab weekend,
