Today’s wedding inspiration board was inspired by your favourite shade from Pantone‘s Top 10 colours for Spring 2016 (in case you missed them, you can catch up here and here), the lovely Lilac Gray. Of all the pretty shades I shared a couple of weeks ago, it was by far the most popular, with twice as many pins as any of the others! And as a lover of lavender and all things neutral I couldn’t have been more pleased for such a great excuse to create an inspiration board with some of my favourite colours…..

With that hint of lilac in this soft neutral, I couldn’t think of more perfect hues to pair it with than a pastel purple and mint, alongside a deeper grey and ivory for contrast it makes the loveliest palette. And although Pantone chose Lilac Gray with Spring in mind, this is such a pretty and versatile shade it would look just as lovely for a celebration in any season.

I went with a floral theme for this board, and love how the icing on the cake, rose bouquets and embellishment on those stunning heels (which by the way, have given me some serious shoe envy!) brings this look together. I also wanted to show that if you choose lavender, which is a really budget friendly choice, for decor or in this case escort cards, you don’t have to go lavender for everything (although that does look lovely too!) you can still choose roses, peonies dahlias….whatever your favourite bloom is, for your bouquets and centrepieces. Mix and match to your heart’s content, just make sure the colours and scents compliment each other……

This is a great colour palette for your groom & groomsmen too! A pale grey suit is an on trend and elegant choice, and will keep them cool for a Spring or Summer wedding. Or for an Autumn or Winter wedding you could choose a Tux or a dark charcoal grey 3 piece suit to ensure they are as dapper as this palette demands.

Actually, this board reminds me a lot of one of my very first, from all the way back in May 2012!….
