The exquisite vintage bridal headwear of Twigs & Honey was the subject of one of my first posts, so I could barely contain my excitement when I discovered, through the inimitable Claire Pettibone no less, that not only was a new collection being launched but that it was being captured by Elizabeth Messina, and would feature one of Claire’s gowns!

The creative force behind Twigs & Honey, Myra Callan’s pride in her newest masterpiece is clear “…..our latest collection has easily become our all-time favorite to date. ” And for anyone familiar with Myra’s work, that’s saying something!….. but she’s not wrong!

Over a year in the making, the collection is a complete labour of love “We felt that a slow and deliberate growth of our pieces from conception to completion was the key to creating a truly memorable collection. By growing a deep love for each piece rather than a quick construct to chase a trend or satiate a momentary style whim, our aim was for the new styles to be loved from the moment chosen, worn and for years after.”

Although instantly recognisable as Twigs & Honey this latest collection is different….. equally delicate and decadent with the same infusions of a more romantic era and as timelessly elegant, yet somehow more refined. Exploring new materials, techniques and shape the collection is both innovative and celebratory, yet remains true to the brand we adore.

Myra “Most of the new styles began as a concept, then a sketch. After I made a sample, I would tweak for weeks or months until it was perfect.” And every piece is pure perfection! Featuring the most luxurious of materials silk, tulle and chantilly lace as well as the most exquisite embellishments and details….. I struggle to pick a favourite!

Myra recognises the Twigs & Honey bride is equal parts elegance and whimsy and chose to create pieces to cater to their distinctive style needs. Whether with a breathtaking veil or with an enchanting halo that looks as light as baby’s breath, this new collection will delight and seduce all that lay their eyes on it.
