Enchanted Atelier’s Exquisite Fall Winter 2013 Collection
I do hope you are seated for perusing today’s post because it is seriously swoon-worthy!
I am so excited to have Enchanted Atelier finally grace the pages of Chic Vintage Brides. It was their enchanting Downton Abbey and John William Waterhouse inspired Spring Summer 2013 Collection that I first discovered. But Enchanted Atelier have long been one of the top bridal couture accessories design ateliers, since Creative Director Liv Hart first attended New York Couture Bridal Fashion Week in October 2005 their collections have frequented the pages of every top bridal publication and appeared on the shelves of the very best stores and boutiques throughout the world (including Intique & Co in Australia) – with the first store to carry the Enchanted Atelier collection none other than the famed Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan. I do believe however that this, their very latest collection for Fall Winter 2013, could surpass all that has gone before it……
Ultra feminine details and delicate but distinctive designs are Liv’s focus this season. Liv says “I love accessories that define a moment. I love creativity, quality in details, and a uniqueness that keeps you looking at each design for a while. There is nothing better, to me, than getting lost for a moment in a beautiful expression of art. I hope that each of my designs provides this moment for each client that selects them to wear.
As I was dreaming up our new collection I found my inspiration in the the beauty of the marble sculpture of The Three Graces by Antonio Canova and by the romantic journey of Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice.”
Each design is hand-crafted and uses some of the most exqiufinest materials around. All the delicate lace you see is from hand-loomed French lace made in Caudry, France by famed French lace house Maison Sophie Hallette.
Oh and Downton Abbey‘s influence can definitely still be seen in this collection, which includes the aptly named (and my favourite piece) ‘Lady Mary Crown’, inspired of course by the breathtaking tiara worn by Lady Mary Crawley for her much anticipated wedding…..
Enchanted Atelier has worked with some top fashion notables over the last few seasons including stylist Eric Daman for Gossip Girl Season 6 (recognise the above ‘Blair’ hairpin??), Maison Sophie Hallette and Claire Pettibone, as well as the fabulous vintage fashion icon Christina Hendricks.
Other than their jaw-dropping beauty, what I love most about the pieces in Enchanted Atelier‘s collections is their versatility. The beautiful Swarovski “Odette” head piece for example can be worn as both a headband and a necklace, perfect for the bride looking for a statement necklace or the bride who wants to change her look between the ceremony and the reception – without spending extra pennies! And it can even be worn as a statement piece long after your special day is over.
What a start to the New Year!
