I don’t know about you, but if there is one thing I am looking forward to in October, it is the latest and last (*sniff*) series of Downton Abbey! Whilst I can hardly imagine my Chistmases without the glimpse into their glamorous lives, I can’t wait to find out how it all ends for the Crawley clan. And if you are looking forward to it as much as I am, then today’s romantic wedding inspiration shoot is definitely one for you!

Inspired by the elegance portrayed in the series, and especially the beautiful weddings we’ve seen so far (I am hoping for at least one more this series!)  a creative team from Verona Italy came together and produced this stunner of a shoot captured beautifully by Giovanna Aprili. The Marsala hued florals, including lilies that are just perfect for the era, by I Fiori di San Lorenzo; stylish vintage stationery crafted by Letterink, a feather adorned wedding cake by Pasticceria Lenoir and an elegant wedding dress created by Marianna Lanzilli; with the bridal look completed by soft romantic makeup by Monica Chicconi.

A few words from wedding planner Elisa from Scelta di Classe about the shoot and inspiration behind it before I share all of the lovely details! “With this inspiration shoot we wanted to recreate the beauty and grace of the popular TV series Downton Abbey weddings. We were inspired by the 1920s and chose a special venue for the shoot, Agriturismo Delo Relais, an ancient manor plunged in the hills and vineyards of Verona, Italy. We imagined a fresh, lovely wedding surrounded by green with a picnic corner in the garden and the bride in a beautiful Italian tailor-made dress. The details, the colors and this couple in love made this shoot a romantic one!”

I think the bride even looks a little like Lady Sybil, don’t you? I like to imagine this is how her and Branson’s elopement might have looked! Celebrated with restraint, but full of timeless grace; and simple yet with just a hint of luxury – she was a lady after all (even if she did run away with the chauffeur!)
