The Most Romantic Bridal Shoot in a Venetian Palace

JUSTINA BILODEAU PHOTOGRAPHY

Venice isn’t only the most romantic city in the world, it is also the most incredible in terms of history and architecture! Both are showcased today in this beautiful bridal shoot from Justina Bilodeau Photography. Captured in the historic Ca Sagredo, a 15th century palace just off the Canal Grande, if it doesn’t make you want to jump on the next plane to Venice, I don’t know what will!…..

Lo Scalone Dei Giganti of the Ca Sagredo is the breathtaking backdrop for much of the shoot. The staircase was designed by the architect Andrea Tirali (he also built the Ponte dei Tre Archi over the Cannaregio canal in 1688 and was known for his incredible technical skills) in the 1720s, taking more than a decade to design and build. Upon completion in 1732 it was decorated with the most hauntingly beautiful frescoes by Pietro Longhi, and they still surround it today.

With an ethereal gown from Saja, that falls in feminine swathes of silk chiffon seductively around the bride; paired with delicate lace headpieces from All About Romance; and bridal shoes in the prettiest dusky pink, that perfectly compliment the pastel shades in the opulent furniture and frescoes, from Bella Belle; this is a shoot that is overflowing with romance and sets the scene for the most enchanting of bridal looks…..

Two marble cherubs by Francesco Bertos decorate the entrance to the staircase, glancing to the incoming guests.
