Romantic Texas Garden Wedding Inspiration at Houston Oaks
CATHERINE SMEADER PHOTOGRAPHY
For those of you in the midst of winter, I have the perfect pick me up! Today’s inspiration shoot is like a blossom scented breath of fresh air, filled with pretty Spring pastels, delicate blooms (as well as a splash of greenery!) and the loveliest, most pin-worthy details – so be sure to have that pinning finger ready!
A few words from photographer Catherine Smeader….. “I loved photographing this romantic Texas garden wedding inspiration shoot! It was the first of Heather Benge Events‘ Styled Shoots Across American series, and it was so much fun to partner with such a talented vendor team. The look that was dreamt up for Houston Oaks featured a soft color palette of pinks, beiges blues and neutrals; eclectic mix-matched vintage rentals; the most amazing blooms and a stunning + sweet real couple (Fashion Blogger Jessica Crum and her husband).
Not much is needed for Houston Oaks – it’s that pretty! From the moment you step foot on the property, you fall in love! The chapel at Houston Oaks came from the Luberon region of France and was rebuilt stone by stone in Houston as if it was meant to be there forever. The grounds also feature 200-year-old oak trees and impeccably landscaped gardens that created a very whimsical and gorgeous backdrop for this shoot. With such a beautiful location and details (can we just talk about that beautiful laurel cake by Who Made The Cake! with those sugar flowers?), I knew I wanted to photograph the shoot in both medium format film and digital to capture all the beauty. Every little detail was perfectly thought out! But if I had to choose, my favorite detail was a framed vase of florals at the escort card table that the talented florist, F. Dellit Designs, created. A close second was the beautiful get away car!”
Have you ever seen anything so pretty?? That cake is just perfection! A huge thankyou to every member of the creative team (listed below) behind this dreamy editorial, but especially to Catherine Smeader Photography who captured it all so beautifully. If you would like to see more of Catherine’s work do pop and take a peek at her website catherinesmeader.com, and of course be sure to find and follow her on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!
Now if this has you dreaming of a floral-filled Spring wedding of your own, you might want to take a look at this stunning styled editorial captured at Cornerstone Sanoma (the color palette is heavenly), and this fabulous farm to table wedding inspiration.
