Spring Skies – Heavenly Wedding Inspiration in Soft Shades of Blue

Oh yes, in this romantic Spring wedding inspiration board it is easy to see why we still love greenery so much! It is such a purse-friendly way to create a lush look on your wedding day (and bring the outside in, if you’re planning an in door celebration), and I thought its organic touch would be heavenly for a romantic garden wedding in delicate shades of blue….. and I think I was right.

Whilst I had Spring in mind when creating this inspiration board, it would of course be just as perfect for a Summer celebration, or even an early Autumn wedding – provided the days are still long and warm. Choose somewhere like a historic house or country estate and allow the natural beauty of your venue’s grounds and gardens be your decor.

This is a luxurious take on a backyard wedding, so champagne is obviously a must! And for the guys, it can only be a tux – white being perfect for the warmer months. After the garden ceremony continue celebrations in a chandelier lit marquee, with glass decor keeping the look light and breezy. I especially love the understated elegance of a glass cake stand. And with the cake, decor can be kept simple (and cost effective), with the wow coming from the tall proportions.

Whatever time of year or venue you decide on though, think an outdoor celebration brimming with greenery. Get imaginative and talk to your florist about how to bring your more grandiose ideas to life: think greenery garlands, table runners, floral walls and hanging installations (like the chandeliers in the image above).

Of course if greenery isn’t your thing there are plenty of other wedding colours and inspiration boards perfect for Spring. like this citrusy soft yellow, which looks oh-so-lovely paired with slate blue! Or this romance-fest in rose quartz and serenity blue, and this elegant aquamarine affair. Oh and you won’t want to miss these 10 pretty Spring wedding colour ideas!
