Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons

By golly, if it isn’t the start of December on Sunday. Which surely means time to decorate – the 1st of December isn’t too early is it? Mr E hates having Christmas thrust upon him, but I always feel the holiday season goes so quickly if you blink you miss it, and I want to revel and make the most of every moment….. I LOVE Christmas – decorating our tree, buying and wrapping presents, spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food and generally . Anyway, much as I love to, I am not here to talk Christmas(although I do have some more seasonal posts to get your tinsel taste buds going and to get you in the Christmas spirit over the coming weeks) it hardly seems possible though that another 7 days have flown by and it is yet again time for Chic Vintage Brides weekly wedding inspiration roundup Snippets, Whisper & Ribbons….. enjoy!

1. Beautiful engagement shoots like this balmy Spring one from Origami Creatives just make me wish even more that Mr E and I had taken the time and effort to plan one. Belinda’s dresses are lovely enough that they could have been for her big day and how pretty is that delicate flower crown??

2. Of course once you’re engaged it is impossible not to be swept up in the excitement as all eyes turn to your wedding and the first place to start with your planning (other than signing up to Pinterest) is with an inspiration board, like this Green & Orange Autumnal lovely from Sara over at Burnett’s Boards……I adore the watercolour stationery suite from Lovely Paper Things and of course I would quite like that beautiful chartreuse sofa for my new home!

3. Inspiration shoots are an endless source of….well, without wanting to state the obvious, inspiration! Jen Huang is one of my favourite photographers and this velvety green shoot from one of her workshops is just so utterly gorgeous, it is filled to overflowing with pretty ideas…..

4. But of course when planning your wedding, there is nothing like seeing and hearing from other brides speaking from the heart of their experiences and offering words of wisdom. I have seen few weddings more stylish, or that have managed to walk that fine line between styled to a theme and fancy dress as well as this 1920s wedding from Gillian Higgins Photography…..

5. Of course once all the excitement is over, and you are officially Mrs, you can always turn your attention to a vow renewal like this free spirited fall anniversary renewal from Frenzel Studios full of fun, homespun details that would be easy to recreate for your own celebration…..
