Spring Jewels – Rich Rustic Wedding Inspiration in Garnet & Blue
My first inspiration board of the new year and it is a beauty – even if I do say so myself! A stunning color palette of jewel tones and gold, with a hint of rustic charm introduced by the pops of wood, creates a relaxed wedding with no shortage of sophistication and romance…..

Better still, Garnet which features so strongly, is the birthstone of January – how fitting! And partnered with these beautiful shades of blue it creates a palette that is as versatile as it is lovely. Whether you’re planning a late Winter wonderland, an early Spring celebration, a Summer shindig or an Autumn affair, these colours would make a sophisticated choice, evoking radiance and richness.
Let the palette and florals shine, and add an extra layer of romance, with delicate design details – hand calligraphy stationery, sumptuous tablescapes & place settings (wherever your venue) and an on trend single-tier wedding cake. I may have chosen an Aquamarine engagement ring, but garnet makes a stunning alternative to the traditional diamond, and so if you’re looking for something radiant and red for your ring, just take a peek at these. And you may want to put a reminder in your diary to check back here on Friday when I will be sharing some of the most gorgeous ways to add garnet to your wedding!
If you love the idea of a floral affair but aren’t convinced by this colour palette you will find plenty of other wedding colours and inspiration boards in CVB’s archives. Like this romance-fest in rose quartz and serenity blue, or for a garden wedding nothing looks lovelier than rose and emerald, and for something a little more seasonal, this berry beauty will take your breath away!
You can see another interpretation of this delectable duo here, or if garnet has stolen your heart, more of it in this timelessly elegant inspiration shoot, as well as it’s surprising appearance in this Summer wedding color palette and this beautiful bridal bouquet!
