The Exquisite 2014 Collection from Rue de Seine

Morning lovelies! And how are we this fine Monday? No, no, don’t let the M word get you down for I have the prettiest of posts to start the week. It was somewhat inspired by Friday’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons – did you see it? Picking just 5 favourite wedding dresses from last week was no mean feat, let me tell you. But one dress was a must for me, for its Edwardian inspired beauty and unique design this dress (and that gorgeous moody sky) stole my heart and my imagination. So, today I am sharing the simply divine, vintage inspired designs of Rue De Seine – and quite frankly my dears, it is positively shameful that it has taken me this long!…..

Rue De Seine 2014 Wedding Dress Collection

Rue De Seine is a unique Bridal brand based in New Zealand, with a boutique in Auckland but an ever increasing number of stockists now around the world. Inspired by, and named after, the fashionable Parisian Quartier of St. Germain des Pres, Rue De Seine brings bohemian chic and vintage inspired wedding dresses to the modern bride. And with this vision, Designer and owner Michele Corty has quickly built quite the reputation with her designs having graced the pages of an impressive number of major international magazines including French Vogue, Marie-Claire, and Elle. She has also collaborated with and designed for Gwyneth Paltrow and had collections worn by Rihanna, Drew Barrymore, and Florence Welch – to name a few!

This her latest collection for 2014 is just going to take your breath away…..

Aren’t they gorgeous? I can see every era captured in this collection from the Edwardian in Charlotte through the deliciously Art Deco Harper to the 1950s with the tea length Clara, but all with a unmistakably modern twist. The collection encapsulates a full range of different styles, something perfect for every bride and body shape; all designed with a ethereal, feminine and timelessly elegant aesthetic that I believe never goes out of fashion. I think they have a touch of Temperley London about them, but with more of a vintage vibe and a touch of ‘je ne sais quoi!’ You can definitely see the french influence in Michele’s use of crisp cottons, delicate guipure lace as well as Dupion silk.

If you want to see more of these beautiful dresses then take a look at the Rue De Seine blog where Michele shared a stunning shoot, captured by Jessica Sim with the most delicious florals in rich berry tones designed by Naomi from Leaf & Honey, and the prettiest hair and make-up by Natalie Dent. Or head over to Magnolia Rouge to see some gorgeous photos of the Rue De Seine boutique in Auckland, it looks heavenly! And if you are lucky enough to be local, then Rue De Seine the boutique also stocks a collection of beautiful vintage wedding dresses!

So, I know its a hard question, but which of these lovelies can you see yourself waltzing down the aisle in? For me, well, I may have saved my favourite for last, I would love to wear the Jaeger, it is stunning!
