A Fairytale Phuket Wedding Full of Romance
DARIN IMAGESToday’s fairytale wedding takes us all the way to Phuket, Thailand. Tammy & Kenneth’s beautiful celebration at Paresa Phuket is an elegant, and oh-so-romantic, floral filled affair that shows an exotic destination wedding doesn’t have to mean beaches and palm trees….. oh and the palette of soft purples and pinks couldn’t be any prettier!
I always say choosing your venue is the most important (and should be the first!) decision to make when planning your wedding. But a destination wedding is probably the one exception to this rule, because when you’re marrying abroad, finding the perfect local planner is key! As Tammy explains…. “Most important was the choice of a creative and trustable wedding planner! When Kenneth and I started out looking for a wedding planner in Phuket, we weren’t aiming for a company with a track record of throwing hundreds of extravagant weddings, but someone who really understood our vision and someone who was truly dedicated to making our wedding unique to us. Ilaire of Wedding Boutique Phuket stood out from all the planners we met. Her tenacity, high standards, personality and passion for creating beautiful things, showed through during our first meeting. Ilaire did not opt for the easy way out for things, she really went the extra extra mile to ensure the best results. Ilaire is an artist and her artist’s persistence defines her work. That’s why there’s so much personality in everything she does. She truly went above and beyond our expectations.”
“I felt in love at 1st sight with a mermaid cut gown from Crystal Design, simply perfect for my body shape. I also chose a Vintage hair piece to match with the design theme and of course… a long veil that blown with the wind. On top of that… Look at my Sergio Rossi’s design shoes, simply unique that I couldn’t resist!”
“Wedding Boutique Phuket selected for us unusual and unique flowers in the colours of purple shades. At the centre of the cascading bridal bouquet was a purple Japanese cabbage, surrounded by lilac hydrangea, cream and dusty pink roses, purple allium blossoms, Eucalyptus leaves and a cascade of ivy.”
“Kenneth and Boys were wearing a tailor made grey suit by Gary & Joe, a famous tailor in Hong Kong. Elegant and classic shoes by Magnanni.”
“The same flowers as the bridal bouquet were used for the altar and ceremony backdrop. A wonderful dramatic effect has been given by the wild flowers along the aisle with plenty of candles.”
“As we both come from the fashion industry, and being fashion victims, we decided to order personalized sunglasses as favors for our guests, we wanted something really cool! Such a unique and useful gift for a sunny day wedding in Thailand! We ordered 2 different models for girls and for boys, all the guests really enjoyed this present!
Another special treat for all the guests were the “Floral Tea Corner” for girls, decorated with unique vintage english teapots and cups, and the “Gentleman Bar” with cigars and selected liquors for the boys. We wanted everybody to feel “treated” on our day :)”
“When the guests entered the dinner restaurant, which had been decorated with a fairy light cascade, candles, candelabras, floral runners, and hanging bird cages with lights they all said: “Wow, this is really Tammy’s fairy tale!” I can’t forget it!”
“Our wedding cake was the Best Cake Ever! A 3 tiers chocolate cake covered with white cream frosting and decorated with lots of fresh flowers in purple shades and a magical giant vintage clock made of sugar paste. We really wanted to have the cake hanging from a tree, for a more fairytale effect and to wow all our Guests. It looked so magical!”
Tell us a little bit about your photographer….
Obviously last but not least… Darin is simply great! We had already been very impressed by Darin Images photo galleries on her website, but when Ilaire recommended the same photographer for our wedding we suddenly knew we didn’t have any other choice! Must be her, with her unique eye for details, and candid unforgettable shots. We have to thank her so much for having such great memories of our Wedding Day!
Such a beautiful day! Aren’t the florals just incredible?? Huge congratulations to the happy couple Tammy & Kenneth, and a big thankyou to them as well as their wonderful photographer Darin Images for capturing it all so perfectly and allowing me to share it with you here.
