It was the unveiling of her Fall 2012 Collection a whole year ago that first drew me to the contemporary romantic designer Luisa Beccaria and her classically timeless gowns, but if that collection was beautiful, her Fall 2013 collection is absolutely breathtaking!…..

Luisa chose the timeless elegance of the 30s as her muse and the collection is just packed full of all feminine details, oh-so-chic classic lines and old-Hollywood glamour. Inspired by a little-known Spanish painter, Federico Beltrán Masses, she lifted his gloriously rich color palette – chartreuse, golds, sapphire and ’emerald’ blues, and designed her dresses along long, lean Art Deco lines.

Whilst based in Milan Luisa Beccaria is stocked in the US by top stores such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Linda Dresner and Jeffrey; in the U.K. Browns, Selfridges, The Cross and Mimi. She also has worldwide stores in Germany, Spain, Australia and Asia as well as an all important online presence on www.netaporter.com. Luisa’s store in Australia is at 157, Domain Road, South Yarra VIC, 3141 , Melbourne….. and it’s top of my boutiques to visit!

Almost as much as the palette and the gowns, I love the hair and makeup of the models! Classy marcel waves and seductive red lips, the epitome of glamour…..
