20 Delicious & Unique Alternatives to the Traditional Wedding Cake
Almost 4 years ago, when a little stuck for content one day, I created a roundup of some fabulous alternatives to the traditional wedding cake. It was one of the posts that attracted most of CVBs 4 million Pinterest followers, that secured its place in the top 100 Wedding Blogs and made it the number one international wedding blog for Vintage brides. It remains one of Chic Vintage Brides most popular posts even today and with today’s couples always looking for or creating something new, and wedding trends always emerging, I thought it was well past time I create an update – with a few classics as well as some new favourites!
You see, whilst traditional wedding cakes are timeless, and will never go out of fashion, I know that not all of today’s couples want to settle for the classic white confection. They want to end their day how it started – distinctive, unique and about them. After all, you will have spent months making sure every other part of your day is uniquely you (from your dress to the wedding breakfast and everything in between), so why forgo personality in favour of tradition when it comes to the wedding cake?
Whether you just aren’t a fan of cake or are addicted to a certain sweet treat, your wedding dessert is the perfect opportunity to wow your guests one last time. So choose a confection that reflects you – your style, your tastes, your memories; and you will look forward to unveiling and eating it all day!
Whatever your style, theme, venue or budget, you are sure to find a ‘wedding cake’ that you and your guests will love amongst these delicious alternatives…..
