Wedding Bouquet Recipe

A Summer Bridal Bouquet of Soft Peach Blooms

NATALIE MCNALLY PHOTOGRAPHY

I have just the perfect thing to follow up yesterday’s dreamy modern vintage wedding inspiration, the latest bouquet recipe from CVB’s resident florist, Magdalen Hill‘s Toni McGregor – and it’s a stunner! Created in a soft palette of peach with hints of blush and brimming with textured greenery, it is the perfect bouquet for a modern vintage bride who wants their flowers to reflect their romantic relaxed vibe, without compromising on beauty and elegance. Toni has kindly shared the full recipe, so be sure to have pen and paper at the ready, and Natalie McNally was on hand to capture the entire creative process and the beautiful bride with the finished thing…

Here’s Toni with a little more about the lucky bride who walked down the aisle carrying this beauty. “I had an inkling Briar was going to be one of those dream brides. A stress free, enjoy every moment of the journey type of girl who trusted her professional team to work to their strengths and deliver their best. I knew this because Briar came to me just weeks before her wedding, and with a few quick emails and short meeting we had a ‘plan’. Getting married in rustic, country setting (on a farm) but with glittering blush bridesmaids dresses, Briar gave me free range with her Rustic Glam theme. Her chosen palette was given continuity with blooms in soft peach, apricot and white…..”

“Roses, dahlia and chrysanthemum in a variety of sizes along with Hypericum berries added to the country vibe and Briar’s love of foliage enhanced the whole ensemble. The fluffiness of the grey with purple undertones Acacia  contrasted beautifully against the gum and tactile velvety Argenteum Leucadendron. Rose geranium and Aralia brought contrast in fresh green along with the softness of asparagus fern.  Arranged as a loose forward flowing handtied this bouquet had a beautiful relaxed elegance perfect for the weddings rustic location.”

Bridal Bouquet Price: $$$       (Budget Key: $ = Thrifty to $$$$$ = Lavish)

Season Available: This bouquet was created towards the end of Summer, however most of the blooms used are available all year round aside from Dahlias, which tend to be in season from late Summer through to Fall. Seasonal gems such as peonies in early summer would make a gorgeous substitution. Or ask for florist about flowers in season when you are getting married, as they should be able to advise alternatives to create a similar look.

Ask your florist for: An soft handtied bouquet with a mix of textured foliage escaping softly throughout and cascading slightly forward. This bouquet was created in a range of peach and white hued blooms of varying sizes, but would look equally stunning created with bright florals.

Just one last look..…

And can I just say, how fabulous are those glittery blush bridesmaids dresses??? As always a huge thank-you to Toni for weaving her floral magic and for all her helpful insights, and Natalie who captured it so beautifully from start to finish. Be sure to take a look at some of their past creations before you go! If you love this bouquet, then you will love this rose beauty in blush peach and marsala, or how about this Summer stunner with foraged flowers and fruits and this lush rose & peony bridal bouquet inspired by Natalie’s grandmas bouquet really is a must see! You can see all of these and more right here.
