Wedding blogs the world over were as ever awash with inspiration this week – honestly, whittling Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons down to just 5 is an ever increasingly difficult task!

From CVB’s Chic Vintage Looks on Pinterest it is obvious there is one piece of makeup essential for any vintage look, from the 1920s all the way through to the 1960s - ruby red lips! And the delectable Franky (the lovely lady in photo 1) over at Love My Dress got all dolled up and with the help of makeup artist extraordinaire Lucy Baker showed us how it’s done….

3. Wedding tables quickly become so full, with names, menus, favours, candles, cutlery, plates not to mention wine  it is a wonder there is ever any room for centre pieces, let alone guests! Ruffled had the solution this week with some truly incredible and imaginative suspended wedding flowers….
