Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons
Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons
That’s it ladies, the first week of work in 2014 done and dusted! So pour yourself a large cab sav, grab a pew, put your feet up and prepare to see some serious lovely wedding inspiration. My favourite blogs knock it out the park each and every week (never failing to inspire, motivate and make me an incy bit green with envy) but this week I do believe the blogging bar was raised ever higher! Here’s my pick of the most fab five for you, this week’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons…..
1. The doyenne of wedding inspiration boards is back! When I was planning our wedding Snippet & Ink was my go to blog for boards of the most stylish and imaginative wedding inspiration, but Kathryn has of late had other, very special, things on her mind. This week however she made quite the return with this romantic vintage wedding board in an exquisite palette of blue and gold…..
2. If I am honest it was definitely bride Gemma’s seriously fab-u-lous, bespoke Marios Schwab wedding dress that initially made my jaw drop (just wait until you see the back!). This 1950s inspired autumn wedding from Love My Dress though is memorable for so much more than its stylish beauty……
3. Want to make sure you groom looks his dapper best on your big day then take note of these 27 unspoken suit rules (did you know that the width of a mans tie should match the width of his lapel??)
4. After the proposal there is of course another, all important question to be asked, and this week Gaby over at Southbound Bride rounded up 15 of the cutest DIY ways to ask ‘will you be my maid?’
5. There just aren’t the words to describe my glee at this final post. The moment I laid eyes on Vera Wang‘s boldly beautiful Spring 2013 collection (have you seen it? It is all shades of red!) I couldn’t wait to see a bride wearing one and just 21 months later, for an engagement session in Paris…… I am not disappointed!
I hope they have set you heart a flutter and made your knees a little weak – and ready for a weekend of wedding planning.
Here’s hoping its a wonderful weekend for all of you lovelies!
