A Very Vintage Wedding Fair…. in Australia!

January 16, 2012

Oh my, I have the most, MOST exciting news….. Australia is to have its very first, ever, vintage wedding fair!!! (hence the new CVB button on the left)

A Very Vintage Wedding Fair

A Very Vintage Wedding Fair planned by the very lovely and talented Debs Ivelja, a fellow pom, wedding photographer extraordinaire and vintage admirer, alongside her friend, fellow vintage devotee Bec from Weddingesque, will showcase the very best retro styling, era-chic blooms and beautiful photography, as well as Queensland’s largest range of authentic vintage dresses! If that is not a draw I don’t know what is.

Clearly passionate about all things vintage and wedding Debs explains their inspiration for the event “You see, vintage is a way of life. Its a look and an essence that carries through to every part of a person and if vintage is you, then you want a wedding that reflects that.

Vintage wedding fairs are pretty popular throughout the UK. They are all over the place and they are amazing. If you are looking for something a little different for your day, they are where the cool kids go. From the Designer Vintage Fair in Brum to The Vintage Wedding Fair’s all around the country and many more, they are amazing.

Australia however has none!

Oh there are expos. But they are created for the masses and not for everyone. There have been only a couple of amazing boutique fairs here and there but with Australia so big, this makes it hard for those who don’t live in Melbourne or Sydney.

So in bringing Australia its first ever vintage wedding fair, more than anything, we hope to see this be the start of something beautiful!

As a bride who looked to have her wedding here and also as a supplier with brides who are designing their day, I know for a fact that like minded couples are crying out for local, Australian suppliers to help them create their ideal wedding.

We have some incredible vendors who are gong to be exhibiting at the fair and we are sure you will love what they have in store for you! As the weeks go by we will be featuring them on our blog so keep checking back.”

Tickets are $8 pre sale ($10 on the door) and if you book for a group of 4 they are offering a $1 per ticket discount.

Take a peek at A Very Vintage Wedding Fair‘s blog and keep an eye on their facebook page!

68 days and counting :-)

I would love to hear from you! But please remember that the couples and professionals who share their weddings and work on Chic Vintage Brides are real(and lovely) people. You may not adore every detail of all you see on CVB, but please be kind.
