Chic Vintage Bride – Brigitte Bardot

January 16, 2013

Today’s Chic Vintage Bride is almost unrecognisable as the sex symbol she became, so fresh faced and angelic does she look here……

Brigitte Bardot's 1952 Wedding

An 18 year old Brigitte Bardot married her first husband Roger Vadim at the Church of Passy, Paris on the 21st December 1952.

Her wedding dress is remarkably un-1950s, rather more late Victorian or early Edwardian in both shape and style with its demure high collar, long sleeves and train….although it certainly accentuated the devastating curves she became so well known for!

I love the sweet little posy of flowers at her neck (freeing up her hands for her fabulous fur hand muff) and her super pretty veil!

  1. Fresh faced indeed! Is it the black and white or is it that she truly has very little make up on? She looks lovely.
