Beautiful Vintage Jewellery – ‘Vintage Bella Bride’

I love vintage jewellery and always have done – my poor Nan, bless her, was forever finding her jewellery box raided and me looking like…..

Nothing can complete a bridal look like a bit of glitz and sparkle! And it is amazing how much more impressive and affecting vintage jewellery is – knowing the pieces have history, have a story of their own, have been worn and loved by others from another era, there is nothing like it. My lovely husband bought me two pieces for our special day – a gorgeous bracelet and the most divine earrings, that just made me feel SO glamorous!

But as vintage has become increasingly fashionable genuine, good quality and reasonably priced jewellery has become equally increasingly hard to find! Well, after discovering the fab Dear Emma Stationery shop on Etsy, with its fantastic range of vintage wedding stationery, I recently paid a visit to their sister jewellery store Vintage Bella Bride – and I was not disappointed, it is an Aladdin’s Cave of loveliness!

I love this art deco Pave and Baguette Rhinestone Bracelet – you can just see that it will wrap around your wrist so luxuriantly.

This clear rhinestone parure, consisting of a necklace, bracelet and earrings, is just stunning – and from one of the premier costume jewellery designers of the 20th century, Kramer of New York.

This fabulous pair of earrings are beautiful, sexy and full of sparkle – reminding me a lot of the ones I had on my wedding day.

This upcycled wedding hair comb was made from a vintage rhinestone gold brooch and is one of my favourite pieces on their site (I love feathers) , it would be perfect for setting off an art deco inspired brides updo.

This is a gorgeous simulated pearl and rhinestone necklace designed by one of the top vintage design houses, Trifari. What a beautiful piece for a bride or mother of the bride – very 50s in style it makes me think of Grace Kelly.

The striking Art Nouveau style necklace above is made up of black cabs and white faux pearls in a floral design, featuring an elaborate centre section with gold filigree and a single pearl drop.

Just as with the Dear Emma stationery the width of range at Vintage Bella Bride is really impressive – bracelets, brooches, earrings, necklaces as well as hair combs and pins, with items from a variety of periods. Their passion and eye for detail is obvious, especially in the items upcycled from smaller pieces into vintage art perfect for any bride!

There really is something special about wearing vintage jewellery, so if you’re not lucky enough to have family heirlooms you can borrow, then take a look at Vintage Bella Bride and be ready to fall in love.
