Tuscan Elegance – Refined Wedding Inspiration In An Opulent Palette of Gold & Neutrals

I am a little bit smitten with today’s inspiration board! The elegant neutral colour palette was inspired by the beautiful old buildings of Tuscany, and a stunning image by Kristin La Voie Photography. Dramatic, glamorous and the epitome of elegance it is my idea of heaven!…..

Mixed with a splash of gold, a hint of black and some lush greenery, soft neutrals create a timelessly romantic combination of colours with a distinctly vintage feel that would be just perfect for a wedding in any season – in Tuscany or not!

Think opulent and luxurious, with a smattering of chandeliers and plenty of gold in your place settings; but with a little rustic charm. Farmhouse style wooden tables for the reception and vintage pews for your ceremony seating, will offset the lavishness and keep proceedings just the right side of relaxed. Layer textures such as velvet, silk ribbons, lace and linen; and add some lush green foliage to bouquets, boutonnieres and centrepieces to soften your celebration.

Of course if we’re talking glamour and elegance, then it must be a tuxedo or a stylish 3 piece suit for the boys – they will look super dashing! And this is such a perfect palette for bridesmaids too! Choose mismatched neutrals, champagne & ivory or contrasting hues of rich Marsala (Pantone‘s colour for 2015) or midnight blues to add a little colour – just remember to keep dresses long and graceful, fabrics floaty and updos soft!
