Today’s styled shoot looks as though it could have been captured on the Italian riviera, but instead took place at the elegant Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. With its pink walls and European inspired architecture it has all the elegance and charm of an old-world Mediterranean estate, and its sprawling grounds provided the perfect setting for this oh-so-pretty floral-filled Spring wedding editorial ….

Here’s a few words from the lady behind the lens Cavin Elizabeth Photography …. “I have always been inspired by European architecture and elegant couture details. When visualizing my spring editorial, I chose the Fairmont Grand Del Mar as the backdrop for our tablescape and couple because it would effortlessly bring those elements to the shoot. The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is nothing short of its name – it’s old-world Mediterranean style makes the perfect backdrop for emulating Europe in Southern California.

Because the Fairmont features gorgeous exterior walls of Mediterranean pink, we chose a predominantly neutral palette for the tablescape and florals. Green Apple Event Co styled our table with luxe La Tavola linens, candles that were freestanding and also nestled in marble holders, and metallic chargers upon which soft blush plates rested. These plates, along with Blue Ladder Botany‘s orchids and sweet peas provided enough of a color pop to tie into the existing colors at the venue without overwhelming the neutral design.

Our groom wore a sleek tux and our bride was adorned in a stunning neutral gown with floral embellishments  in keeping with the grandeur of the property and its grounds. I secured a gorgeous couture Marchesa gown for our bride that could not have been more perfect for a luxe bride who loves European style and high fashion.”
