Frosted Mistletoe – Emerald Green Inspiration for a Winter Wedding
Happy Christmas Eve everyone – only 1 more sleep until Christmas!! And to celebrate I have a little Christmas Wedding Inspiration. Last year it was all about the rich ruby red of Cranberry, but this year I have taken the lush colour that abounds even in the whitest Christmas wonderland, that of Emerald Green……
Think great fir trees, ivy and of course mistletoe against the winter white of snow, with a touch of lustrous silver. Instantly Christmassy, romantic and fresh, without a hint of red.
Bouquet – Portobello Rose photographer Jemma Keach, Wedding Cake – Style Me Pretty, Headdress – Twigs & Honey via Chic Vintage Brides, Bow Tie – Gusty’s Bow Ties, Silver Earrings – Fanaberie, Emerald Ring – Style Me Pretty, Emerald Necklace – Brilliant Earth, Bridesmaids Dress – ModCloth via Chic Vintage Brides, Boutonniere – Style Me Pretty, Invitations – Ruby & Willow via Magnolia Rouge, Groom & Groomsmen – Green Wedding Shoes
For the wedding dress it would of course have to be luxurious and long sleeved, to keep out the nip of the frosty air. One of these beauties from Alice Temperley’s 2013 Florence Collection, like Viva with its hint of Victoriana in its exquisite embellishment…..
Or the beautiful lace Guinevere, with its plunging neckline and drop waist…..
(a white version of the dress worn by the ever chic Duchess of Cambridge)
Or my personal favourite, the just ever so demure and delightful Flora (just wait until you see the back)…..
Or for a more modern look I love this design with its frost like pattern and tulle over skirt creating at once a sleek and voluminous silhouette…..
Or to channel the glamour of Art Deco and the golden age of Hollywood no designer creates outfits for the modern day goddess quite like Jenny Packham. From her 2013 Collection Astrantia with its silver sleeves…..
Or the ethereal Tuberose…..
Hoping everyone’s Christmas is a wonderful one!
