Olde World Elegance – Romantic Wedding Inspiration in a Chic Colour Palette of White & Green

Today’s inspiration board has me swooning! Not only is it one of my favourite colour palettes (I just love the simplicity and opulence of it) but it also has a distinctly olde world feel. Inspired by this happy couple whizzing stylishly off to their happily ever after in their vintage car, it is a modern update to the Art Deco trend that has been so popular for the last few years…..

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, or so they say. And this palette couldn’t any more simple or more chic. Keeping it predominantly white creates such a lovely clean, almost modern, look. Splashes of black adds drama whilst the gold lends it age and opulence. And last but not least, soften the whole look with lashings of lush greenery – which is after all one of the biggest wedding trends right now.

With the vintage car and those exquisite shoes from the lovely Emmy London it definitely has a 1920s vibe without being overtly Art Deco. And with the simple white wedding cake, calligraphy stationery and organic floral designs of romantic white blooms, this look is as timeless as the colour palette.

When it comes to your groom, nothing says elegance quite like a Tuxedo! A waistcoat underneath will add an extra hint of vintage, or to really channel your groom’s inner Gatsby have him wear a traditional morning suit like the dapper groom in this stunning styled shoot.

And don’t panic if your chosen venue is lacking in sweeping staircases and chandaliers! You can create a similar olde world effect with floral adorned fireplaces and lots of gold candelabras and candlesticks – it is all about the opulence and romance with this board!

I love this everything about this board don’t you? If you’re not sold on this colour palette or theme and want to see more elegant wedding colours and inspiration boards you’ll find plenty right here on Chic Vintage Brides!
