Early Autumn Sun – Romantic Wedding Inspiration in Mustard Yellow & Hint of Blush

For my last inspiration board I took a color typically considered a staple for Fall and gave it a summery twist, today I am taking a Summer shade and showing how it is just as perfect for Fall! Because as the leaves begin to turn and the sun sinks a little lower in the sky, yellow really comes into its own, taking on a richness and warmth you only see at this time of year….

Whilst the palette (copper, mustard and blush) alone may not have you convinced, hopefully the board itself shows just how lovely this trio of colors can look.  The key is to let nature add the color, then bring it together with ivory and hints of greenery. So don’t think brown bridesmaids dresses or suits for the groom (I think it has to be a traditional black tux or suit for this one…. although tweed could work!) but introduce plenty of wood with vintage church pews for the ceremony and rustic farm tables for the reception.

Soften the look and add yellow with lush florals, roses and ranunculus always look lovely, and of course its the perfect time of year for adding fruit to your arrangements too. I love berries in centerpieces, and fresh ripe figs make a delicious cake adornment! I think Fall always calls for a slightly more rustic feel, especially with an outdoor wedding. So think and

Just don’t forget the dropping temperatures at this time of year so blankets would make a thoughtful favor and perhaps a mulled wine or cider bar for whilst you’re away having your portraits taken. Hot donuts or smores around open fires after the reception would also help to keep the party going well after the sun goes down.

Yep, Fall is still my favourite season for a wedding! If this inspiration board has you dreaming of an elegant Fall wedding, you might like this glamorous take on the season or this polished take on a rustic wedding in a slightly cooler color palette.
