Enchanting Bridal Gowns from Collette Dinnigan
I stumbled across this beautiful Blush Bridal Gown (already featured once on CVB in my Utterly Gorgeous Coloured Gowns for the Unconventional Bride post) on the fabulous Magnolia Rouge blog and fell in love with it all over again……
I should have known that it was (of course) created by one of my favourite designers, Collette Dinnigan.
(Photographer Kate MacPherson)
With a career in fashion spanning more than 30 years and worn by some of the most fashionable women (Kate Middleton – Duchess of Cambridge, Taylor Swift, Kate Bosworth and Anelina Jolie to name but a few), Collette Dinnigan‘s name is not only instantly recognisable, whatever country you are from, it is also synonymous with chic glamour, with an element of the extraordinary – her bridal gowns are never anything short of magical!
Her 2011 Collection featured gowns of every shape and material, with something for every era and bride.
A divine one shouldered gown, so aptly named Swan Lake……
Lush layers of sumptuous silk organza with a floral belt……
An exquisitely embellished, strapless, lace gown….
Satin with a vixenous (I think I just made that word up…but I like it) but chic V neck……
A beautifully pearl beaded bodice gown, with a full organza skirt….
Delicate Floral designs, diamante decorated……
And Ballerina, a ball gown bridal dress…..
With my love of coloured gowns I couldn’t not show you the silver and sumptuously embellished Fantasia…..
I love that the model is as ethereal as the designs!
This french corded lace wedding dress is just dreamy – beautifully cut, with cap sleeves and a belt detail, it is the perfect dress for a rustic chic or french countryside inspired wedding!
You may recognise this design from The Most Distinctly Stunning Long Sleeved Wedding Dresses, I love long sleeves and it amazes me how these delicate lace sleeves create such a different silhouette – elongated and elegant.
And this dress has everything – lace bodice with the prettiest scalloped neckline, sparkling diamante and layers upon layers of delicate chiffon, creating a full skirt that I can just see swishing down a petal covered aisle…….
I can’t wait to see the 2013 Collection!
