Gilded Spring Blues – Heavenly Wedding Inspiration Board in Shades of Pale Blue & Gold

Do you remember those beautiful Spring wedding colour palettes I shared a couple of weeks ago? Well, I asked those of you who follow Chic Vintage Brides on Facebook to vote for your favourite and there was an overwhelming winner – Spring Blues! A pretty palette of pale blues and blush, that I just couldn’t resist adding a splash of gold to for today’s gilded Spring wedding inspiration board……

And I can so see why it was your favourite! Inspired by the stunning bouquet by Fleurie, it is a palette of airy blues with a dreamy and ethereal feel. Mixed with a hint of blush and a splash of gold, it creates an elegant and romantic combination of colours with a distinctly vintage feel that would be just perfect for a Spring wedding. Whether you will be celebrating indoors or out, lush seasonal greenery and florals are the key to this look. Bouquets, boutonnieres and centrepieces in these delicate shades will look stunning, or imagine a flower arch at the top of your aisle!

Tied around bouquets, cutlery, wedding cakes and waists, ribbons are such a pretty (and inexpensive!) way to add softness, texture and colour to your wedding. I love the art deco inspired juliet cap veil by Danani in this inspiration board and just imagine the way the delicate English netting would softly float around you in a light Spring breeze. A little texture is all that’s needed when your wedding cake is iced in a hue as heavenly as that blue, whilst tiers of unequal sizes creates an element of interest and grandeur even when finished with the most simple decor.
