An Exclusive Early Glimpse at BHLDN’s Spring 2015 Collection

Good morning! If you follow Chic Vintage Brides you will know BHLDN (the bridal sister to the fabulous Anthropologie) is something of a fave of mine! Their carefully curated collections, always brimming with uniquely vintage-inspired style and overflowing with romance, are never less than enchanting. I love how they pull together entire ensembles, for brides and bridesmaids, of beautifully mixed and mismatched gowns, coverups, accessories and adornments, all by designer names but at affordable prices. So, being the BHLDN lover that I am, there might have been no small amount of jumping up and down, and feeling like Christmas had come early, when I received an email from the lovely ladies and gents over there offering an early glimpse of their Spring 2015 collection. Oh and there was definitely some swooning when I saw it, so be warned and do take a seat before scrolling any further….

An Exclusive Early Glimpse at BHLDN's Spring 2015 Collection

BHLDN‘s Spring 2015 collection, which doesn’t officially launch until the 6th of January, features 18 new gorgeous gowns, a multitude of fabulous accessories as well as some simply gorgeous decor and finishing touches. Returning designers beloved by the BHLDN bride such as Tadashi Shoji, Catherine Deane, Watters and Nicole Miller, are joined by fresh and exciting new names like Rosa Clara, Eddy K and my personal favourite Johanna Johnson! And the wedding dresses they have designed are, if at all possible, even more lovely than ever before. There is lashings of delicate lace, silhouettes that are simply jaw-dropping, distinctive necklines and embellishments that will have you glittering like a star as you walk down the aisle. Oh and, whether peeking from beneath trains, or elaborately embellished for your bridesmaids, I know you are going to love the splash of blush that appears throughout. So, if you’re getting married in 2015 or 2016, have your pinning finger ready…..

Each and every piece in the collection has been drawn from two distinct and beautiful inspirational concepts: “The Painted Garden” and “Bon Vivant”. Gowns inspired by ”The Painted Garden” feature romantic sheer elements like illusion necklines and portrait backs, extra fine lace and voluminous trains while those of the “Bon Vivant” feature exquisite beading, silhouette enhancing draping, soft tailoring and eye-catching embroidery.

Some of my favourite picks for you chic vintage brides-to-be, are the arto deco inspired Magnolia Gown, the heavenly beaded Aria Gown (which is just $800!), as well as the beautiful in blush Ascott Dress ($360) and Tiered Petal Maxi Gown ($450). which is a little Art Nouveau and Downton Abbey (season 1) don’t you think?……

Aren’t they stunning? I also adore the liquid silk satin, 1930s inspired Marlowe, which I am sure must be one of the inimitable Johanna Johnson designs…..
