‘Twice Enchanted’ BHLDN’s Dreamy New Collection for Fall 2015
I know from the popularity of the early glimpse I gave you of their Spring offering, that you are quite the admirer of BHLDN‘s beautifully curated collections – and I completely understand why! Abounding with modern-vintage style and overflowing with romance, each and every one is never anything less than enchanting. And yesterday saw the launch of their very latest offering…..
BHLDN‘s Fall 2015 collection, their largest – and I think most beautiful – yet, features 17 new wedding gowns, four bridal skirts, a bridal bodysuit and corset, six bridesmaids dresses, three reception dresses and three flower girl dresses along with three new cold weather toppers and an abundance of stunning wedding accessories! Returning designers beloved by BHLDN brides such as Tadashi Shoji, Catherine Deane, Watters and Rosa Clara, are joined by some fresh and exciting new names like Needle & Thread and Sachin + Babi as well as accessory designer and Chic Vintage Brides sponsor Mignonne Handmade!
Shot by photographer Chloe Mallett at the Palácio de Monserrate in Sintra, Portugal, this inspiring shoot perfectly captures the romance of the collection, as well as the eye-catching embellishments that mirror the architectural details of their fairytale surroundings. The vaulted ceilings and lancet arches of the Moorish castle are reflected in the exquisite pearlescent lattices, plunging and pleated v-bodices and unique back details of the wedding dresses. Pops of metallic in the castle edifice can also be found in bejeweled necklines and encrusted tulle skirts, whilst its lush gardens are reflected in the vintage-inspired floral beading and graphic floral embroidery that features throughout the collection.
Utterly captivating, ‘Twice Enchanted’ is relaxed and versatile as well as luxurious, which gives it a unique air of comfort and wearability. And with prices starting at just $700 for a wedding dress this collection will have something you love whether you’re a modern-vintage loving bride, a budget-savvy bride, a sophisticated classic bride, or even any combination of the three. So, if you’re getting married in 2015 or 2016, be sure to have your pinning finger at the ready…..
Some of my favourite picks for you chic vintage brides-to-be, are the incredible Wesley Gown by Needle and Thread which is exquisitely beaded with a pearlescent lattice and vintage-inspired flora that perfectly balances glamour and romance in equal measure, and looks a lot more expensive than $990! The Olivia Polermo-esque Grace gown which is both sophisticated and utterly romantic with its crisp, ivory silk crepe top, embroidered tulle skirt, and dainty button back. And the heavenly lace Adair gown which with its sweetheart neckline, soft blush lining, and sweeping train exudes drama and grace. But without a doubt the gown that had me swooning was Dylan, which is designed for the bride who loves a bit of glamour, with an elegant high-neck that gives way to cap sleeves and a deep, intricately jeweled back.
You can shop the collection now here, and don’t delay because these dresses never hang about for long – just ask Stéphanie (our bride on Monday) who so nearly missed out on her dream dress from BHLDN!
