I am following yesterday’s stylish City wedding (I hope you saw it!) with some stunning Art Deco wedding inspiration today. With the historic Inn on Westwood as its backdrop, every glorious detail captured perfectly by Sarah Hooker Photography and abounding with 1920s glamour and Jazz Age razzmatazz, it is elegant, opulent and everything a girl could ask for……

I will hand you over the to the lady with the vision, Sarah Hooker to tell you all about it:  “With a beautiful historic inn that has stood in my neighbourhood for over a century, my excessive collection of gold vintage items from local antique stores, and a real engaged couple who already dress as if they stepped out of a jazz club, how could this shoot have been anything other than 1920’s Asheville, NC inspired? It’s art deco in a mountain town. Gold meets organic. Chandeliers and rocking chair porches. Old wooden radios and shiny saxophones!

I snuck in several items (books, a radio, glassware) from my own grandparents, and I had a grand time meandering the paths of local antique malls on the lookout for anything gold. The wonderful vendors are all responsible for the rest, and everyone was amazingly helpful and excited. My words of wisdom to brides is that if you are surrounded by fantastic people and a beautiful location, lean on those things to make your wedding day amazing!”

Isn’t it fabulous? I am so in love with the bride and her beautiful finger waved hair! A big thanks to Thanks to Sarah Hooker for co-ordinating, styling and capturing this stunning shoot, and to the rest of the team involved in bringing her vision to life.
