About Chic Vintage Brides

After our own wedding in 2010, and following a big move to the other side of the world, Chic Vintage Brides was created as a way for me to continue to swoon over wedding dresses and to fill an abundance of spare time. It was a hobby that quickly became a passion and, over the course of a couple of years, a thriving business.

4 years later Chic Vintage Brides is synonymous with timeless and romantic wedding inspiration, dedicated to inspiring couples to create a day that is unique, personal and a true celebration of their love, a day that from start to finish is ‘them’ – whether that means wearing a family heirloom gown, or a Jenny Packham; exchanging their vows in a local church surrounded by 150 loved ones, or by a lake just them a celebrant, and witnesses.

Publishing stylish weddings, beautifully creative styled shoots, the most perfect wedding colour palettes and jawdropping fashion, CVB inspires thousands of brides & grooms every month, connecting them with the vendors, creatives and professionals that can bring their wedding dream to life. It is consistently listed in the Top 100 Wedding Blogs and with over 4 millions followers on Pinterest was named as one of ‘11 Inspiring Wedding Pinners To Follow‘ by The Huffington Post & one of 10 Pinterest Boards to Follow by Vogue Paris.

Chic Vintage Brides is also a founding member of Aisle Society! An exciting new collaboration between 30 of the top wedding bloggers with a collective reach of over 3 million, Aisle Society is a beautiful hub of wedding inspiration, designed to lead couples to the best online wedding content around, and I am proud to be a part of it.

Meet the Editor

Me

I’m Amy, a wedding-obsessed born-in-the-wrong-era lover-of-romance, and the owner and editor of Chic Vintage Brides!

I live with my husband, Mr E, by the sea in Napier, New Zealand. Although only my home for the last 5 years (originally I was from a little town called Street, in Somerset England), surrounded by the beautiful landscapes – mountains to the west, beaches to the east and vineyards nestled everywhere in between; Napier has quickly become the place I feel most ‘at home’. I love just spending time pottering around our little, light-filled, cottage; or when we have a bit more time, escaping to somewhere new for the weekend, to explore this beautiful country we call our home, as well as to unplug, relax and recharge!

Away from the blog, you’ll find me and Bodie, our crazy and completely lovable Cockerpoo, on one of our daily walks; snuggled on the sofa watching an old movie – anything with Joan Crawford, Bette Davis or Barbara Stanwyck especially!; or reading – I am a Jane Austen-aholic! and when we lived in England, regularly dragged my husband to visit her house in Chawton. I love Skype, baking, period dramas, the colour teal, Pimms and to listen to the birds sing; and the things I miss most about England are foxes, hedgerows and Christmas (celebrating Christmas in 30 degress just isn’t the same) – I don’t however miss the ‘Summers’, traffic jams or house spiders!

It is lovely to meet you, let’s catch up again soon!

Amy
